Make points scored effect loot drops

Its actually extremely lame, that i score like 15 kills 10 assists or so in multiple matches then receive no green or purple loot drop, and only like 10k more gold than someone would afking in the match. Aside from contracts what is the point of not afking, or barely even trying to win the match? This is something that needs to change, make players want to own and learn to fight better to get better gear for their ship.

Besides the obvious, it is fun. I wouldn’t be postng here if i didn’t like the game and think it needed to be better.

As much as I agree to what you said…I don’t think that would be a good idea as it will pull the range between good and bad players even further…

Learn how loot system works. I pull at least one green item every 3-5 won games. Check places where biggest combat was or where you personally downed most enemies.

Also - with what you propose players flying Command ships racking up Efficiency from assists essentially only for being there would have unfair advantage.

Not to mention it would make Combat Recon even more of a camp-fest.

Indeed, learn how the system works. Loot rules have not been disclosed beyond that they are random. The only thing that is impacted by your rating on your team is your credit reward if you win.

 

You also obviously get higher win:loss ratio if you win a lot and a higher “downed ship” ranking for your personal stats.

 

 

It’s also worth noting that actual kills and assists don’t really count for all that much in most game modes in comparison to objective completion. Taking out bomb carrier is worth 250 where killing a normal person is 100. Capping the bomb is worth 600 points - that’s six kills. Capping the beacon is worth 300. Killing enemy while defending the beacon, 200.

 

Play for objectives and end on top of the scoreboard. That enables you to get more money for wins. Coupled with not dying you’ll find yourself in a a very good place money-wise.

Then you are doing it wrong or just unlucky, yesterday i had 2 purple drops and several Military / Experimental green items, both trough PvP and PVE ( Arcade and Realistic or Regular whatever is the name )

 

In fact i don’t even care for the drops that much ( i do have a nice T2 inty almost purple / green fitted atm ) but the victories and the money, i i’d rage about drops then i’d have long opened a thread about how many times i score no loot points.

 

And doing kills alone means nothing because you can be either sniping far away cozy in your frigate or bombing the hell outta people that are almost dead anyways.

 

Victories are what matters and more then not i have more assists and high EFF trough Capture points or planting bombs then anything else and thats imo what matters the most, doing something for the team even if it means scoring less kills but achieving victory.

I just totally agree on the fact that people should be awarded regarding what they done in the game.

I do more PvP then PVE… i just do PVE to rack up credits and cool down when i’m not in the mood for PVP, most of the purple items i got were in PVP battles.
