So far, I don’t give a xxxx about blue votes. But red votes, those mean something. I suppose the squad and corp farming on likes will be fixed soon. That is not the idea of the system.
Disable voting for squad members and corp members.
Than it really becomes viable.

I still fail to see any value in it. As I said elsewhere, what would be useful to me is a vote down / dislike ability, so I can go into a match and immediately see “Okay, he’s flying Engineer but he’s got -20 Renown so he’s obviously not going to heal me.”
Because Likes can be earned without earning them, they are of no value to me or anyone else.

I think that a positive feedback system is still better than a negative feedback. Players would spam those dislikes on simply everyone. The system wouldn’t have any value either. It would just be some sort of fraud. A really good player would get dislikes simply for killing his opponents, etc.
Or imagine new palyers starting out in the game. They would unwillingly “farm” those dislikes. Not a good idea.
But Likes are not useful. Engineers don’t get liked for healing, so you can have a complete moron and a skilled Engi who both have 0 likes. But dislikes would show which one does his job and which one is dead weight.
Both together, with no limit on how many you can issue per match, is the ideal system. That way you can single out the people who dragged you down and upvote everyone who didn’t. With one vote and two dozen players to pick from, it’s no wonder squads just vote themselves up.
