So far I am really enjoying the game, at least at Tech 2. I don’t have any desire to play Tech 3 due to nukes. I’m not one of those MMORPG victims who needs to some sort of “progression” to enjoy video games so I am currently content to just idle in Tech 2 along with the squad I fly with. I don’t see what nukes bring to the game though so wouldn’t it be easier just to remove them? I suspect a good many players stay in Tech 2 because the game is much more fun without nuke spam. In a F2P game, the business model relies on the assumption that players want to progress and get bigger and better ships. If players would prefer to just play Tech 2 forever, then they will be unlikely to spend much real money for convenience since they need no further advancement.
All I hear about Tier 3 is nuke spam, and it has convinced me not to bother advancing into that tier.
Nuke Spam & Over Powered Spam Healing… dont forget the healing.
I had a half-baked solution for nukes. It went something like this: If your team mate fires a nuke, a large nuclear symbol will appear on your screen, along with the name of who fired it. A voice prompt would tell you to remove yourself from the area as well. In all allied player’s screens, a large blue sphere would show where the nuke is going to detonate. Enemy ships only get the current warning. Like I said, it’s half baked.
Of course, FF is on.
I made a suggestion here that could help with both nuke spamming and healing issues. Tell me what you think.

Engineers are nastier in T3 then nuke spam, and nuke spam could have been brought close to being under control if Strong got a nerf to hilarious amount of nukes it can carry in each game. Both need fixes. Full FF on nukes would be a welcome change.
Dont forget the Jericho Frigate… “The Poor Mans Strong” The rank 8 one I think… it carries 7 heavy artillery.

It lacks the ability to run in, drop it into the beacon and instantly melt everything that’s not frigate in range. But it’s pretty damn bad regardless.
Yeah it does, but it does have the ability to stack thermal resists, and phase shield so that it takes only 3k shield damage from a nuke, which can be healed in 10 seconds by a nearby engineers area heal… or in 2 seconds from the activated cool down heal.
For gods sake, just make nukes have friendly fire to solve the issue…
Further why are nukes dropped? Put them in a big a$$ frigate as a manual guided torpedo, ship size should also be a factor… Just as a Int only has 2 guns to a frigates 6.
Give a frigate 3 Nukes Max
Give a Int, like Cov Ops 1 Nuke Max
“Warning Radiation Detected” should chime when one is dropped/fired near you or in your general direction regardless of it being a friendly or hostile nuke…as all nukes are hostile to everyone.
“I’m not racist! I hate everyone equally.”

You are asking for something that has been in the game for ages. Try jericho sniper frigates.
I’m guessing your telling me nukes are on jerico sniper frigs? 0.0
not as strong as nukes…should have a limit…make the endless guided torpedoes into 3 guided frig nukes that are stronger then the int and fig nuks. Replace the ability with some energy weapon. more realistic : /
thats how I would do it anyways.
