"Invasion only" mark V blueprint designs - alternate means/option to unlock them (no Invasion mode required)

This is a very important suggestion and I hope it gets implemented as soon as possible!

Explanation:

We all know that we need to search for Invasion blueprints, if we want to collect all mark V variants, especially for T5.

It’s hard to get T5 mark V weapon blueprint of any kind, unless if you are willing to spend hours, days and eventually months in Invasion to get them all.

You definitely need a spatial scanner to find all those mysterious containers. Searching it by luck, reduces your chances of getting one even further and increases the time as well.

No more! A new solution is here! It will still require a lot of patience, but at least it will give players 100% chance to get one for all their efforts.

100% certainty with no time or luck based mechanic in Invasion must be another option. There is no other way!

In the Workshop, on each blueprint there is a sign displayed.

Sign with the red tag: Not learned.

Icon for the blueprint is red, if a blueprint isn’t present in your Armory.

If a proper blueprint is obtained in Invasion and stored in your Armory, then it’s blue and you can click on “Learn” option to unlock it.

This is good and it shouldn’t be changed.

If you do not have a proper blueprint in your Armory, you cannot manufacture it.

That is true for all blueprint variants, which cannot be purchased with standard credits, but they can only be found in Invasion mode, inside of Mysterious Containers.

Solution:

Add option “Provide” next to “Manufacture” option in the Workshop.

Provide option should always be available to select.

Provide option can also be replaced with Black Market option.

If you do not fulfill these requirements, you cannot be provided with your mark V blueprint.

Each blueprint can be unlocked with 3 requirements at the same time:

  • standard credits

  • artifacts/iridium resources

  • loyalty vouchers (origin determines the type)

Example:

T5 mark V Positron Cannon blueprint

  • 525000 credits (cost for mark 1) + 1155000 credits (upgrade cost for mark 2) = 1680000 credits (combined cost)

alternate cost could also be 9000000 credits for T5, since the sell price is always ten times lower than the original

  • 270000 Vanguard loyalty vouchers (upgrade cost for mark 3)

  • 360 artifacts/iridium (upgrade cost for mark 4)

As you can see, all requirements here are just combined.

“Provide” option should list all those 3 requirements. If all are fulfilled, you can select “Obtain” or “Unlock” option.

If a blueprint design gets added in your Armory, you should have “Obtain” option.

If a blueprint design gets only unlocked, without being added in your Armory, you should get “Unlock” option.

Notification also alerts you about your new item in your Armory, if you have those notifications enabled/checked.

Your + or - karma/reputation should not affect any requirements or alternate access/means to any blueprints in any way in the future.

If you got all of the resources listed above, you will be able to obtain the blueprint in your Armory.

Once you obtain it, you will see blue blueprint icon - “obtained” and you will be able to click on “Learn” option.

Everything works the same, as if you got the blueprint yourself from Invasion.

Possible inclusion of monetisation for blueprints: ( OPTIONAL - " case sensitive")

You can also include the option to get the blueprint with Galactic Standards - “GS” currency, but only as alternate means to already existing free method!

Choice must be present. Earn the blueprint with regular requirements or pay for it.

However, if you buy one, it should contain 3% synergy bonus for each mark V blueprint.

Pirate version of the blueprints should also have this option.

Optional restrictions:

Some additional info about possible restrictions, which prevents this option from being used too early could also be implemented.

If you want to limit players, who want to obtain/unlock all of the blueprints early on, there is another way.

You can lock the access to “Black Market” or “Provide” option, if a player hasn’t reached rank 15 with all 3 factions yet. Same as with the Crews/Implants. They can unlock them for free or pay to do so.

Alternate way is that you lock access to certain weapons or modules only, which depends on the faction’s tier/rank or voucher origin, but that would require more work.

If a player decides to buy a T5 premium ship , they could also immediately have access to those blueprints, but they would need to buy at least 1 T5 premium ship for each faction.

This means minimum of 3 T5 premium ships , to ensure access to all mark V blueprints - (Provide/Black Market window option) with a described method above.

However, if a player would get the blueprint in Invasion, it would still count, regardless of his rank. Nothing would change in that regard.

Only do this , if the current system immediately unlocks all crews! If it does, then this system should also grant the possibility to get all the blueprints with such method.

With respect,  Koromac

Why would you farm invasion for BP?

If you can do daily PvE + SpecOps

doing only SpecOps I need 7 more BP:

Sharpnel

Recon Cloak

Orion mk5

Valkyrie

crit chance

shield aura

missile shield

anyway Trade system would solve lots of problems

Stop talking. (Srry if rude.)

I found one in PvE like yesterday. So you don’t need to go to invasion.

Honestly I don’t do PvE or Invasion much anymore. Therefore I like this idea.

+1

This system is based on luck with loot spots and your own choices. You are still missing too many of them. PVE blueprints are very rare to get and they often repeat. Before you get them all, it can be a very long time.

Trade system. I support it, but the developers don’t. In my opinion it should be present in this game. Trade system itself it’s not really a problem. Problem is with the features that the trade system would offer.

If it’s done right, it can only improve the game.

There should not be any short cuts to getting blueprints.  I like the idea of having to search high and low in Invasion for them, or have them drop randomly in PVE.  If what you propose is implemented, only the rich and lazy veterans will profit, not newer pilots.  Also, you are taking the “specialness” out of these Mk 5 weapons/modules, which I dislike.

And as Tillowaty says, a trade system would solve all these problems, but the devs do not want this at all unfortunately.

That’s one of the reasons, I created this thread.

Then search for them for months or years. With recent nerfs, probably decades. I dare you to beat my record!  01010.png

No, I am not taking anything out of them. You obtained them from Pirates in Fort Muerto.

You’re a mercenary. As a hired and well established individual you got means and shady contacts, which can provide you with the same benefits, just with increased demands to do the bargaining.

I also must tell you that Skula1975 himself even suggested me to find a way to getting that shortcut, so at least they are considering it and that is good.

If you do not have mark V blueprints in your workshop, you can’t spend monocrystals. If you can’t spend them, there is no need to buy more of them.

Man… to get monos for all dat stuff it will take atleast 4-5months(for premium pilots) of daily farming, I bet in that time any pilot will have 80% of BP

And from PvE loot I had more doubles than new stuff  :012j:

I really like the idea.

Generally, I agree that there should be an 100% chance option to get blueprint which you need.

But it should be very-very-very expensive option (1kk loyalty + 50kk silver + 1k artifacts) - black market! Otherwize everyone will use it and no one will fly in openspace to check their luck.

Well, this is easy to implement. We can double or triple the cost!

To lower the cost, there should special sales in the workshop.

I think it’s a good idea to add the purchase of the necessary blueprints. I don’t have a spatial scanner and I don’t want to buy it beacause of cost, so it’s rather difficult to get blueprint for me. But if there will be such option like Koromac suggests, I could buy it.

I would have to agree with this, at the moment it is no different that praying to the RNG that the mk4 kit u want is going to drop.

This at least gives the same option as those kits. Either spend a small fortune or take your chances that you will find it soon.

Just to give an option for people to get the BP they want.

Or in other words have people grinding back those resources and creds in pvp/pve/secon rather than soloing invasion which does not help q times.

Well, optional restrictions would make access to such method a bit more elusive and it should be like this.

We got a win-win situation. Players would play more in skirmish mode, because they want to level their ships to rank 15 to get such advantage for free or get more artifacts, loyalty vouchers to get it.

However, if the developers decide to unlock this feature with T5 premium ships as well, like it is with the implants, I won’t argue with them. It’s their choice.

I just presented the option. If this feature is too beneficial, since it guarantees access to all mark V blueprints, if they want to implement it, then this should only be applied with standard ships and not with premiums to keep up the pressure.

We further discuss about this suggestion here.

Mr L, don’t listen to those haters!

I love you too Mr. T, as a friend of course.

This suggestion needs to be forwarded for review to development team.

It is extremely important and it would really help in the long run.

Reminder:

Spatial Scanners will not become absolete.

They are still beneficial, when it comes to credits or loyalty vouchers and possible blueprints in general.

Only thing needed for them is to increase base chance % of getting T5 modules and weapons designs, but only in rank 10 danger sectors!

Rank 7 danger sectors should contain increased base % for T4 modules and weapons.
