People, rejoice!
I present you with a new module - Adaptive Hull.
Available rank/s: 9-15
Type: Hull modifier
Available Mark upgrade level/s: Mark 1, 2, 3, 4 (5?)
Description of Mark 1:
Increases hull resistance to all damage types by 27 pts. (rank 9-13) or 33 pts. (rank 12-15) when the ship is flying at 110% of its maximum speed.
Description of Mark 4:
Increases hull resistance to all damage types by 42 pts. (rank 9-13) or 45 pts. (rank 12-15) when the ship is flying at 110% of its maximum speed.
It is obvious, that an icon/s will be shown on the HUD, while active in battle.
Hull already have a counterpart (+resist - rotation).

LOL Lets wait for that new crystal hull thingie.
I voted yes, its a good idea.
Voted yes to the first one, but the second question has nothing to do with this and should not be there.
I’ll vote No here. We need to dissociate Shield from Hull.
Hull tanking is made to be an heavy armor. While shield is more a light armor. One is strong but reduce your mobility, the other one is the opposite.
Even if the mechanic is cool Adaptative don’t fit with hull tanking.

Shield mechanics are different than hull, but that doesn’t mean that they are inferior. Shield automatically regenerates, hull does not.
I never said they were inferior to hull mechanics. But only that Adaptative don’t fit hulls mechanic.
We have galvanized armor as hull modifier, it may be nice to get a buff on it while nerf it via rotating speed (so inties dont abuse and exploit stuff, again), it seems sufficient nowadays tho…
To make separate modules from priveous adaptive shield is kind of straight way, we have no plans for it now) We will introduce some new modules soon.
