Interceptors - ridiculously OP

i can choose what T match i want to play? please, tell me how :slight_smile: i play with Katana only once, just want to try it.

If you mix T2 and T3 ships on your active hangar, you end up on either T3 or T2 matches, depending on how well you do on matches. This goes up to Rank 9 ships, as well, as I’ve seen quite a few in T2 matches.

 

Devs say it’s a bug to see them in T2, Remains to be seen if it’s true, because it still hasn’t been fixed.

Play better Play properly. I’ll elaborate:

  1. Afterburner backwards.

  2. Turn towards Inty.

  3. Dodge Plasma Arc, if CovOps gets too close (sharp turn, afterburner forwards). GOTO 1.

As a Gunship pilot, this works flawlessly. As anything else… No, you donut.

What sharp turn? Burn past it and turn around, he’ll be having trouble redirecting.

Lol, depends on where you play…

In T2, cov ops their plasma arc is slightly OP.

In T3, intys are mostly fine I think?

Thats depends entirely on someones opinion. If you really narrow it down to the numbers, interceptors are the easiest things to kill.

Yes Tier Plays a HUGE factor. 

 

And due note that plasma arc has a range of only 300 meters. If you get killed from a plasma arc, you are doing a bad job as a pilot. You are bad and you should FEEL bad.

 In a T2 engi, a plasma arc deals as much damage as you got EHP basicly…they hurt a lot…

Mmm. I don’t fly T2 enough to answer but you can still avoid a plasma arc in any ship. As long as you keep moving. I have dodged Plasma arcs because I move constantly without stopping. 

 

Are you saying the need to nerf the plasma arc in T2 but leave T3 as is? 

Aye, I suggest a slight nerf to the T2 plasma arc, at most 500 damage/sec less. It will still be very damaging, but some T2 ships might just stand a slightly better chance than.

 

And yeah, moving helps a lot, even in a frig, but still…not always a good possibility >.<

Oh, come on, even Imperial ships can move away from the Arc… Just fly towards them and you’ll miss most of the damage. They shouldn’t be allowed to move at all while using it, tbh…

Let me re-iterate.

 

You’re allowed to turn, just not apply any velocity.

300m. Most pilots don’t even trigger it until they’re hugging the ship (literally), so it still gives you 2-3 seconds of full dps, minimum, assuming the ship you’re hitting is stopped.

Don’t forget the plasma arc risks you against other ships and minefields. I can’t tell you how many times minefields are super effective against interceptors. 

Aye, JP is right, pulsars, drones, mine fields are already dangerous enough without being stuck in place for 3 seconds.

Except Ceptors are too OP in T2, they WILL, quite easily, survive 4 blasts of it.

Really? I can’t see that happening unless you stack Thermal Resistance.
