Regular +damage mod is pretty weak on Pulse Lasers. Curved Reflector will give you an impressive dps number, but what range are you getting that number at (optimal range is about half maximum iirc)? 500m at best (750m with implant?), probably less.
It is about 20-30% cant recall exact number
But thing about curved reflector is that when you shoot pulse at anything smaller than a frigate at 1200-1500m youn eed spread reductions, when you are at 700 - it doesn’t matter and you can pump your dps that much more
The Tank (It has Armodillo implant, and actually fly it like this) amount of dmg it can absorb(counting dodge) is ridiculous.
And speaking of glass canons, it sure does take some time to getting use to squishiness like this, but after awhile, I think, that EB on this ship would make it OP
After playing the tourney I saw how awesome armadillo is.
I am advocating for armadillo implant since pre weapon/missiles rework as best tanking implant out there. In the same time this implant is one of the major reasons what makes Shield tanking inferior to Hull.

ikr but since I play solo 99% of the games and I rarely play frigates I always relied on the hull resists one. Now I need to see if it’s that good on fighters
Hull resist implant + the shield ones = an obscene sustained tank styx
Armadillo on Styx will produce noticeably better in game tanking than jericho r1 implant (unless you fit 3x armor plates on it with no resists what so ever)

It’s great on gunships since you almost always have 2-3 lock-ons at any given time. Plus it’s a life saver when moving back to my allied frig line after diving the enemy Engi in the middle of their team with 5+ lock-ons. That’s an additional 50 hull resists all around.

I know, that’s Gigas II, but we’re talking about Armadillo, the one who reduces crit damage and explosion damage on hulls.
I always fly with Gigas since I’m an Empire pilot and I rely on hull.

tried armadillo, doesnt fit my play style. back to rank 1 jerry
It is not a matter of your “play style” as long as you fly T3 in T3 games, especially on the empire ships you will be more tankier, it doesn’t make you invincible but noticeably more tankier in a long run.
This ship REALLY needs an EB … I dont think myself it would be OP if it had one capacitor slot
After flying for some time i’ve replaced speed engine for acceleration, it allows for some crazy stunts when you get use to almost instant turns :)))
Yeah, that is the only energy management module available :(( it is actually really-really good especially considering that it is extremely often i have to use 2 modules in same time some times all 4
After flying for a while, and looking back on how i die if i die, 90% of those deaths would be avoided completely by EB and i would probably fit energy regen module+2d adaptive shield or heatsinks for my pulse lazors anyways, just for fun (But only on T3) On T4+ EB will be there most likely :))
