instantly remove 10 second invulnerability in PVP and Invasion Mode, if you opened fire

I got a simple suggestion, which needs to be addressed ASAP.

 

 

I find it absurd, that in PVP and Invasion Mode you can open fire with your weapons, missiles or modules, with invulnerability still engaged for 10 seconds or less, if you just spawned or undocked from the Station.

During that time, you cannot be harmed , but you can deal damage to neutrals or the enemy.

 

I am requesting, that if you open fire with your main weapons, missiles or any modules, that INVULNERABILITY icon on the HUD and its PROTECTION, immediately gets removed.

This change must also be made in Invasion mode, when you undocked, if you engaged some target. Same goes, if you opened fire, after you arrived in a new sector, through a warp gate.

 

I can exploit this mechanic, as well as any enemy. This can be easily corrected.

You are wrong! Maybe it’s a bug.

It disables invulnerability if you shoot in PvP.

 

It does not disable invulnerability if you shoot in invasion.

 

Test it out yourself, Koro.

Well, it is over 4000 hours now.

I know the mechanics, but for PVP, I got feedback from some other player and I didn’t check it, because recently I was in no such situations, when the enemy overwhelmed us and farmed us, while I spawned.

That means that PVP got fixed, but Invasion wasn’t and it should get fixed, since it’s basically the same mechanic, like in PVP now.

In Invasion, the protection is needed because of the random spawns in some maps, and the player killers. While the player killers are not a problem anymore (most of them got bored of gate camping with a plasma arc cov ops), you can find yourself at 1 km of a defiler when joining some invasion sectors. In that case you NEED that invulnerability to go back to the gate or warp out/cloak/camo.

 

The only way you can exploit the protection is in station fights, but those are so rare…

I always get involved in “station fights”! More often than not it’s some Ace who undocks with protection disactivated and just randomly starts shooting everything he sees. Once, I undocked only to see a battelfield of t1 and t2 players! Naturally I got involved and had some fun :slight_smile:
