implement a locked ship slot selected by user's order

You always get automatically selected ship slot number 1, in any PvE scenario or PvP mode.

Sometimes you want to select a different slot to start with, but you cannot lock it in place, or lock all of them in certain order, especially if you are away from the computer, or distracted for any reason.

Screenshot: (example: I would select this lock order - 4,1,3,2 in the hangar)

Implement “lock slot ability 1-4” without user’s intervention.

You can still cancel this, if you wish to change something directly in-game. It is just there, in case if you get distracted and you fail to switch in time and then you end up with a wrong ship.

The ship that you lock, you start with at the start of any battle, regardless of the game mode.

If you play Capture the Beacons mode (now in Custom Match only), when your ship is destroyed, the next ship will be selected according to your 2nd, 3rd and 4th locked slot, unless if you select it manually.

  • from me, small stuff make the game BEARable.

Is it that hard to move a ship into slot one and swap crew for those slots?

Unless if you want to switch all the implant slots as well, yes it can be, especially if you get distracted, because in 1 minute of waiting you can do a lot of other stuff, before you begin a session.

By the way, ties are out of fashion now.

Indeed, small stuff, but important enough and not that difficult to implement.

Spread the word and let’s get some votes, except for Katovskiy’s, people can actually understand the point.

So he does not have an opinion?  :fed013:

I’m quite neutral to this suggestion, considering there are a lot of others things which should be implemented/fixed… I don’t see any importance in this.

I am just pointing out small things, which can be improved at a later date.

I get you… If you would summarize all your suggestions in one thread, that would be something… And probably the longest post made on this forum ever.

swapping implants between 2 slots is a matter of 3 clicks, how lazy do you have to be to say this is “important enough”? Swapping a ship into slot 1 AND swapping implants is a matter of 3 seconds.

It’s not about laziness. You could get distracted and in 30 seconds you could fail to select the correct ship, because the slot selected will always be the 1st one.

Still, it isn’t exactly a problem, but memorized selected slot could actually help in some cases, when it happens. It’s not such a big deal.

Luxury problems:)

If you’re implying, that there is a matter of resources again, I don’t believe you.

I am pretty sure that they got enough money from players to afford a golden keyboard and mouse. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

And how is it different from your siggestion, you already have 1234 locked order, swaping a ship into a wanted slot is 3 seconds, it is the same thing either you makes a ship as a starting ship or you move your ship into a starting slot, it is done in the same game phase, aka hangar, it takes next to same effort.

What is the point of this?

It’s in the game’s battle screen, before you start, not in the hangar!

If you have time for this crap in battle you can select a proper ship.

And why in the world you give a hangar screen shot…

I am not a parrot… Read above.

And why in the world you give a hangar screen shot…

Because the lock-order in a hangar will determine, what slot: 1,2,3 or 4 will be used by default first in the actual battle/scenario, without user’s intervention.

you already have a lock order in a hangar, why do you need another one?

kost is right…

Kato is right. Ô.o

Out of the sense to ‘start’ with ship 3 in slot 3, it doesn’t change anything or I’m mistaken?

For example every stage of multi-stage PvE would start with ship 3 in slot 3 instead of ship 1 in slot 1. Or does this change as well? Stage 1 with 3-1-4-2 order would start with ship 3 in slot 3, stage 2 with ship 1 in slot 1 and stage 3 with ship 4 in slot 4.

Isn’t CtB not available in vAI? Thought the patchnotes read ‘removed from PvP only’?
