Implant or Crew tree - suggested adjustments

Currently, as it is:

 

Jericho; rank 5: Alpha-inhibitor “SP-25”

Maximum speed increased by  3%.

 

Federation; rank 8: Beta-accelerator “Armadillo II”

Upon activating  Multipurpose modules , the ship becomes immune to all engine-inhibiting effects for 2 sec.

 

Empire; rank 9: Beta-accelerator “Gigas II”

Increases hull and shield resistance to all types of damage by  12  pts. for each enemy marking you as their target.

 

Jericho; rank 9: Beta-accelerator “SR Mark 3”

Increases shield resistance to all types of damage by  13  pts. for each enemy locking you as their target. Shield can now absorb damage from collisions.

 

Rank 14 implants currently have 240 second cooldown.

 

 

Suggested reworks or adjustments:

 

Jericho; rank 5: Alpha-inhibitor “SP-25”

Maximum speed increased by  3%  and increased speed acceleration by 33%.

 

Federation; rank 8: Beta-accelerator “Armadillo II”

Upon activating  Multipurpose modules , the ship becomes immune to all engine-inhibiting effects for 3  sec.

 

Empire; rank 9: Beta-accelerator “Gigas II”

Increases hull resistance to all types of damage by 15  pts. for each enemy marking you as their target. Collision damage is now reduced by 50%.

 

Jericho; rank 9: Beta-accelerator “SR Mark 3”

Increases shield resistance to all types of damage by  18  pts. for each enemy locking you as their target. Shield can now absorb damage from collisions.

 

Rank 14 implants should have 120  second cooldown, since the effects and durations have been nerfed some time ago.

Why should implants be any stronger? I would rather nerf most of them. That R14 implant cooldown could be much shorter though.

Who said anything about stronger implants? They’re not stronger. They are revamped in such way that makes them more balanced and useful.

Also, express your opinion with a vote next time.

In short:

  • plenty of implants need tweaking

  • some of them are on the list, some of them are not

  • totally disagree with Koromac numbers

J5 implant is crap, really needs a buff in order to be somewhat useful. F8 could get a slight buff like 0,5-1 sec extra duration.

I agree with everything but the one that prevents collision damage to hull. Having a dented hull on any ship is terrible and really an eye-sore. I’d much rather not have to use my repair kit for a scratch when it could just be absorbed in to my shield.

 

Either that or it should give a base hull regeneration.

That’s exactly what I suggested.

There’re some plans for tweaking implants, it’s on “to do list”. But only somewhere after releasing new expansion. So it’s not on “to do right now, hurry up!” list. Yet.

I am not saying that it will happen, but that it may happen.
