white damage is true damage, object collisions should be kinetic however

crashes should deal kinetic.
explosions should deal thermal and kinetic.
What about the fuel exploding? EM blast? And why don’t the green alien ship explosions do EM?
if anything explodes, it’s thermal and kinetic for the shrapnel and blast. EM explosions don’t actually exist. They’re mixed in with thermal - electromagnetic pulses and thermonuclear detonations

Because the shrapnel from a nuclear blast is vaporized by the heat almost instantly.

that would result in extreme OP. especially against guards. Nice idea, couldn’t work in the current game layout as a weapon dealing thermoplasmic damage would effectively negate a phase shield. Mount it on a cov ops and you’ve created a god.
Massive kinetic shock wave does not count as a kinetic blast? Nor does the extremely rapidly expanding gasses?
And yeah I know aboot damage types. I’m just saying it would make things a bit more realistic.
But nukes are meant to do heavy damage to everything within a radius, so multiple damage types would only make them more realistic and useful as they are quite infrequent and hard to use around skilled players. (Especially guards with MS. This still bugs me that MS can take out nukes…)

Because in an arcade game, to make things more fun, you ruin the balance in order to cater to realism.
