I'm a beginner: better read this

So my pic about game dev is right :stuck_out_tongue:

Edit: Part I, 2) removed and the new part I, 2) contain henceforce a preface. Part VII reorganised and VII, 2) edited for the module “classic purpose”

Edit 2: VII, 2) Term “assassin” removed and replaced by “damages”.

Edit 3: When this guide will be complete, can it be pinned?

Edit 4: New part: X) Going further…

Yes, it can be pinned once it is ready and structured.

And even if its only a question of playstyle, why would the jericho tacklers not have acces to the rank 15 implant?

Because they are not rank 15?

Basically each nation has a ‘secondary’ class, and they generally they don’t get max rank per tier. But there are exceptions to the rule, so someday you may get a rank 15 jerry tackler.

Cool! Can we expect this? Is there a dev to confirm this?

Nothing has been said. That is why i said someday we MAY get them

Yup  I was asking a dev or admin to tell us if it was planned or not :stuck_out_tongue:

Edit:

Part III  moved to Part II, 5)

Sentences added to each Part.

Part II, 4) modified

Introduction of the OP reorganised

For being pinned:

I still need someone for the parts  VI , **1)** and 2)

Does it needs more pictures to illustrate or it is clear?

If those points are ok, now the post can be pinned I guess.

Fighter Command: Counters - An ECM with energy drain will ruin a commands day

Also, for LRFs they aren’t strictly snipers, the title is a bit misleading tbh. They are gunboats, and people should be encourage to make the most of having the extra firepower rather than cowering in the corner of the map trying to snipe stuff and not being much use to the team (there are some very good LRF players, but most can not hit s**t when sniping). Also there is quite a difference between the Empire and the Jecricho ones. Empire is the only ship that can be called a sniper and is more suited to long range combat, whereas the Jericho LRFs are more mid-range with it’s torps.

About “snipers” this is the help section in-game that told me that, the tip in the loading screen saying “remember the sniper training: change position often” and also the special module is a long-range only use (or mid-range for jericho like you said).

This is a simple way to play them

About commands: Oh yeah! You are right! I’m adding it right now, thanks

This will be very helpfull guide, but I worry about that little thingy - does newbies has enough time to read it?

Generally, people on forums are people that want to learn or to share informations and they take enought time for that

To make it accessible for everyone, it should be implemented in-game.

Edit:

parts  VI , **1)** and 2) modified by myself, since there wasn’t anybody that wanted to make a special dedicated tutorial for each ship, I decided to do it myself.

Also, I forgot the rule that I wanted to follow since the start: teach “how to fish” and don’t “give the fish”

Last question before release: Does the topic needs more pictures? Where if it does?

This is a simple way to play them

But it’s not. Most LRF players can’t hit s**t. You’re better off promoting them as 2nd line heavy hitters, those 2 extra guns are devastating, and much easier for the newer player to master than trying to snipe, or not doing much with their torps. They can be played on the front line if you got back up, but this should only really be done once you get a reverse thruster so you can gtfo when it goes south.

Interesting

I will nuance the part about LRF.

edit: done

Post pinned since yesterday!

I am happy

I am now working on putting basic builds easy to use as someone suggested.

This will be very helpfull guide, but I worry about that little thingy - does newbies has enough time to read it?

If someone is willing to learn the game they will read it no matter how long is it, the more correct info, the better.

https://forum.star-conflict.com/index.php?/topic/24853-residentes-standard-ships-build/

I have a very long thread where people asked me for ship builds and I gave them with long explanations, if you’re willing to take anything useful from there, go ahead, there are many other threads of veteran players giving tips and showing their builds.

But give credit to the user if you use them for your guide.

Of course, I saw your post long time ago, I will see if I can find something usefull inside now

I always make credits to autors ^^ (links and all and all)

Edit: I just readed everything in your post (all pages) and ships builds are for ships way too high. I am looking for T2 and T3 ships, all R6 and all R9 basic builds to be honest and accordly to the section I), 2). You can look how it looks, I made a table. So, I will do it my way but a link to the section forums/gamediscussion/guides/ships will be added in the OP.
