Discussion on new ideas. Everyone keeps coming up with ideas and then they just end up getting shot down.

 

Put them in this thread, get some feedback, and if its a good idea THEN make a thread so you don’t waste your time making another thread with a poor idea (like me XD).

Module for destroyers:
Does thermal damage to all ships within 1 km.  some low number of damage passively to scare them off and higher number when activated to kill them cause they didn’t heed to the warning and xxxx off. ahahah

Idea number 2 not to be mistaken for xxxx idea:

 

Energy draining weapons such as WL and Karud’s special weapon; instead of DRAINING energy then the effectiveness is based on how much energy is in the reserves and DOES NOT drain energy while being used.

 

Might need to set a cap too so people arent going in with excessive capacitors and destroying destroyers in 2 seconds with a ecm lol

No one is twisting your arm. LOL Either do or don’t. Instead of spamming ideas in other peoples threads, well, now there is a free spot available for anyone to do just that, spam ideas.

 

As far as trying to win the approval of you or anyone else, that’s not in my thinking. I’m pretty much caught up on who is who in this forum now so its just whatever now.

I Would love this change so much, because at the moment the Karud plasma makes you super energy unstable. And It would also benefit the Thi’lith in PvE because one shot in to a crowd and you are out of energy. Or one shot in the direction of a destroyer.

Destroyers should be moved for a new game mode, something like destroyers vs cruisers vs carriers.

Why so many dessie haters? If all the roles are played the way they are meant then the battles can get intense and mostly fun as ballz. Its when people aren’t being a team player and playing Rambo where things can get lame.

Because it’s impossible kill a destroyer 1v1 in a interceptor/fighter/frigate (excluding Ellydium ships).

Well first, like I said, if all roles are played the way they are meant then you wont be doing 1 vs 1 destroyer. Destroyer is not meant to be taken on by yourself. Second, absolutely yes, you can kill a destroyer in any class by yourself but as previously stated, its not advised because it can take time to get the job done and you may end up getting killed. Just focus fire and normally he is dead pretty fast but not everything works out that way. ![:D](<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/006j.png “:D”)

Try to understand my point. Interceptors vs fighters vs frigates it’s completely balanced, interceptors can turn survivability with high maneuver, frigates can turn low maneuver with high survivability, fighters have moderate parameters. And NO, it’s impossible kill a good destroyer pilot 1v1 (in a conventional int/fig/fri), 99% probably you die or take 50% of your time to take one down (impracticable).

I’d like some additional uniqueness for the original factions. Like more crit damage and more shield regen for Jericho, more rotation speed and shorter cooldowns for Federation and stronger modules and more range for Empire…

 

I dunno, just more diversity. Elly is soooo VERY different that Fed/Jerry/Emp feel almost identical…

 

Maybe universal buffs for kinetic weapons for Jericho, buffs for em for Fed and buff for thermal for Empire.

 

Or some entirely new mechanics:

Jericho could regen shields more rapidly once their hull takes damage,

Fed could get a higher rate of fire once the shields are down,

Empire could deal more damage depending on remaining hull: less hull equals more damage (not exessive though)

 

Some passive modules could get a rework:

the shield regen passives (the useless ones, not the op elly bullcrap) could also affect the effectiveness of shield kits: Asyncrounous shield could not only increase shield regen by 30% but also increase healing of shield kits by, say, 15%.

Jericho’s multipurpose shield could increase resists instead of volume to make it somewhat useful.

 

Factions could ‘steal’ tech form elly:

Jericho gets access to elly shield passives,

Fed gets access to elly capacitor passives,

Empire gets access to elly hull passives.

 

Static shields for destroyers could increase resistances in a certain direction, but not completely block damage.

 

Weapons like tailal could work like a full auto flux phaser: projectiles will home, but one has to keep the crosshair on one’s target.

 

SP ships could get access to unique weapons and modules of their respective role:

For example: Saw one gets access to quantum railgun, Kraken gets access to boson cannon, Ronin can use torch launcher and so on…

 

Beacon capture should only get interrupted by damage taken from special modules (like plasma web), missiles and main weapons. Active modules like gravi lens, taikin xxxx and so on should not interrupt capture.

 

There could be more interesting secondary weapons, that are unique to each faction:

A shotgun-esque volley of unguided missiles for Jericho,

A plasma flamethrower burst for Federation,

A short but powerful unguided laser for Empire (like a tiny pyro)

 

(optional: make engines for dart red and engines for gargoyle yellow.)

 

Shield kits could be more poweful on Jericho ships,

Hull kits could get a faster cooldown on Empire ships,

Resist modules could get a longer duration on Fed ships.

 

Stuff that is upgraded with Techs/Raid could be more effective on Jerry ships,

Stuff that is upgraded with Vanguard/Armada could be more effective on Fed ships,

Stuff that is upgraded with Wardens/Legion could be more effective on Emp ships.

 

Fed ships could deal more damage, the closer they are to enemy ships,

Empire ships could deal more damage, the longer they keep hitting an enemy,

Jericho ships could build up crit damage, the longer they keep hitting an enemy.

Command ship, crit phaser bubble, ion missiles.

Covert Ops, curved phase suppressor, plasma arc/whitenoise/orion

They aren’t mean to be 1v1, just stop trying to(if you don’t have the skill for it)! Why do ppl still think dessy are like any other ship?? This is exactly because of this dev’s nerf them to dirt and create broken ship like tai’kin and ppl still complain  ![:015_2:](<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/015_2.png “:015_2:”)

Of course, never one try to kill one destroyer alone, and i don’t want to discuss it here, it’s debatable. The question is, destroyer overall have high (ultra high) advantage against conventional ships or if you need a “specific ship with a specific setup” to kill one alone, it’s not correct, it’s not fair, it’s not balanced.

This is why u have 4 ships slots
