First file is 100%, second file is 50% transparent HUD elements
The arrow size tells you whose near by… Big is close little is farther away (note yellow missile arrows)
the 6/1036 is 6 locks closest guy is 1036
the 5/903 is 5 missiles locked, closes 903
White arrow is still your lock, so the red arrow on white arrow, means you both are locked on each other.

That and the transparency should really be a separate option for everyone at their own will, i’m fine with both. Only 25% transparency should suffice too.

Once we get done with this we can ship it off to the Dev team and say “make it like this~!”
P.S. OP talks about how we should be able to tweak transparency and colors on our own so that’s been covered

) - size differences: missile arrows scale with distance (closer = bigger); ship arrows will be the same size except for your current target (which should be the bigger one) and show 2 colors only when in range of your weapons (a blink effect could show who is targeting you and a pulsing glow effect for shooting you and different transparency levels for how much damage it hits you compared to other attackers)
> distances at lock ons > covered, lock ons and important objects alone, not all things because the HUD will be cluttered heavily - double colors like in the arrow case could solve the distance issue decently

It’s all pretty much done, just some refinement and visual aestethics now. At least i want to go to the end with it
I still think the best results could be achieved giving option for customizable addons, i.e. where UI is based on XML and some scripting language(lua/python). Thous who have played WoW know how amazing stuff users can come up with, if they have an option to do so.

- you want it to say Bob (show weapon Icon) frank? > yea, people complain(ed) about the battle log after the kill feed became what it is, so showing the weapon directly in the feed should do the trick (and maybe add ship icon belonging to the one who destroyed the other?)

- ok let me make another pic with ships on screen to cover this. > 99% right, just make the blinky stuff a circle or something around the ship defining icon, not the entire ship, and it should work ‘in real time’, so it blinks at the moment of shooting you and calculating 1.5-2 seconds before / after the act

- That is an idea but we are tying to limit how much is on the screen, 2 bars is easier to look at then 2 %numbers. > true and not true, for a quick glance the bars do the job, but sometimes when you compare incoming dps vs rep, some numbers can really help, especially when testing stuff (and a percentage show does better than an absolute readout which can get you lost when you check frigate HPs)

- just make the passive modules smaller? > i think i didn’t explain right, my bad: passives are the mods that don;t need activation, like shield slot, energy slot, CPU slot etc. (on the left and right of the active mod list when fitting the ship)

Gotcha, our own weapon range… well, you cant shoot your guns at stuff less your aiming at it…so you mean missiles range?..ok I can tweak it for missile range

haven’t read what every one has written but instead of just changing everything, why no just make it costume, so everyone can change color, design and theme to the HUD? in that way no one will get mad if they change every thing in the HUD.

We rather hope they will do that very thing, if not, here’s what the majority seems to agree on (I personally pref the energy, shield, hull right where it is but…ehh I am flexible so
where i can download the different HUD colors ?

I have forwarded the feedback to the devs.
A thing I really want to see changed is the “target lock window”. I’d like it to give more info, like HP in numbers of the target, and the range between you and him. It would be very useful IMO and should be relatively easy to implement since the info is already on the screen basicly(exept for the numbers)
