Guards are basically useless now that dessie are out. Dessies can move just as fast (or faster) with worm hole, they’re 5 times as tanky with 5 times as much dps. They’re downright op. But what if Guards became the counter to destroyers? I suggest that guards deal 3 times as much damage to destroyers. You might say, “Why so much!?!?!?” think about it. 15k dps (minus resists) for a guard vs a destroyer with 200k hull and 80k shields isn’t gonna completely ruin dessies. Guards are useless vs any good inty and useless against any good fighter too. This would buff guards and make them actually useful.

Just about any ship could be used as a destroyer-killer if you use it right. Guards, JLRFs, Commands, an CovOps are currently the #1 dessie-killed.
I’d say, make up a new frig and turn guards into the second dessie class. plus decrease the supressor’s dps, it’s supposed to supress not rape the entire enemy team.

Sorry, but having 1.5 times the damage of guards isn’t raping. You need to count, that they have double the weapons as they, but they also need for these to stay in specific arcs to the enemy to use them. Guards are 1/3 of the size and more flexible. Together with modules that give you regain of shield/hull AND resistances, you can face a destroyer - okay on T3 niveau as the T4 are now out of balance for this.
To the OP: Sorry, but with module damage destroyer have a weakspot you can use. Try this against a guard and you will fail.
And such tank-value assume that such a destroyer will be slower as guards.
