The stingray not only is trapped in T5 battles because it is rank 10, but it also is exceptionally weak compared to other fighters. One huge difference is the volume/damage ratio on the ship. It is just as agile as any other fed fighter, but has the volume of an interceptor, while taking standard damage, and taking INSANE amounts of collision damage.
Player grande18 is a big fan of stingray, he once told me: that ship is too much fun to play and perform really really good, only huge problem it have is the collision damage which is deadly since you need to be ultra agile.
I guess now that tier are mixed up the problem is even worst.

if it’s rank 10 it can actually land in medium or hard, so why is it trapped?
t4 in hard are really good. just use the extra resists and damage in fitting. r10 are way easier to handle in hard (t5) than in medium (t3) imho, so they overall feel stronger, even if their enemies are stronger aswell. especially because of the adaptive nerf, i’d rather have that ship with the extra resis. I play a lot of r10-11 in t5, don’t feel trapped at all.
but lately, with guard buff and thargas all around, i think any speedy ship has suffered. the stingray is not an exception there. nor does the high alpha of ellydium weapons make much distinction about tank and rank…
i would still go for it. Can’t say of course how the stingray in particular really performs, as I do not own it yet, but I do still look forward to it - collision damage on the other hand can be weird nowadays, independent of ship.

Stingray is really awesome for those intie/fighter type of players, just a slightly bigger intie with overdrive  collision damage is the only bad thing but can be fixed.
