"Hacked Firmware" booster change

Dear Support/Development Team,

I have come with a good solution for the current problem, that plagues this game the most.
It’s called progression/grinding issue, especially due to contracts above anything else.

Please, review my post entirely.

Summary: change to specific booster device

Hacked Firmware (“hacked” word now have a reason):

Description:

Yours and allied ships synergy and loyalty voucher gain is increased by 200% (only in Skirmish and PVE Mission, with PVE contract constraints removed).
-II-                                                                                                                     , also unlocks/grants access to all active contracts of active faction).

Requirements: You need to fly T5 PVE mission scenario, with T5 ship in order to have all available active contracts to unlock it.

Or: You can play and fulfill all of the contracts with T3 ship, for example.
In this case, it would mean that T3 ships can also fulfill T5 contracts in PVE and PVP as well, because it unlocks entire current faction tree, so it’s also useful in Skirmish.

Conditions:

You must be a Squad Leader with an active bonus booster device slot.
If more than one user has them, they won’t stack. but they also won’t get used, wasted. There should be some fail-safe added.

You can only fulfill contracts for the Faction, you’re currently docked at, like Empire, Federation, Jericho.
This remains the same as it is now.

I would extend the number of uses to 8 battles instead of 6.
Reason for that is, that one contract requires you to win 8 battles at most.
Of course, you still must reach those requirements in order to benefit from contracts.
Price could remain the same or get raised to 990GS. You must decide the price, this is just an example, of course.

Why is this a good change, you might ask?

Reasons:

I talk to people a lot.
From their gathered feedback, I came to this conclusion and option for you.
Most of them would grab this module ASAP.
I think it’s best at the moment and it should be tested, to see players reaction.
This is not pay to win option. I think, that many new and old players alike would go for it way more, than they did before. I would also use it, because I’ve never used it before.

Not all enjoy playing PVP, especially in higher tiers (T4-T5), due to low amount of players, matches, long wait times, etc. Some only enjoy PVE mode and they believe that are being punished for slow progression, because of it.
Please, implement it as soon as possible. I believe this booster will become very relevant to those, who want it and quite famous.

Also, we never got any sale on boosters! Not that I remember, though.
There is also another option with a license.
License owners should get a discount for buying boosters, like 20% discount bonus, if you own premium account, so you can spend less to get more, while still providing income for you on regular basis.

I wish you all the best in the future, Star Conflict/Support/Dev Team.
I really hope that you do this for all of us.

I might add something later, depends on the discussion.

Sincerely, Koromac

You know me, I’m all in favour of anything that encourages teamwork, and I think this is precisely where the Devs should be focusing their efforts - upgrades that boost the entire team’s experience, not just one player. That is what this does right? I do think it would be fun to allow T3 ships access to higher end content in PvE, especially as a fair chunk of the contracts are PvP Only anyway so it’s not a massive advantage.

Actually, there’s a thought…

What if Hacked Firmware allowed you to remove ship restrictions in PvE? For example, if I am a squad leader with Hacked Firmware and I bring T2-3 ships to PvE, my squadmates can bring T4-5. They earn rewards as if they completed a T4-5 mission, but it’s only T2-3 difficulty. The squad leader still has to bring the appropriate Tier.

The reason I say this is that this is an entirely altruistic upgrade - sort of. It’s your team that gets the bulk of the reward, you just benefit from easier matches due to stronger allies. Also, because it can’t be forced on you (it has to be the squad leader using the Hacked Firmware) then there’s no issue of players having their game spoilt by over-tiered ships!

So yeah, we can definitely find a better use for Hacked Firmware.

You mean on top of the already described options or the only ones, you’re describing here?

Problem with randoms is that they bring 3 T1 ships, which cannot be used and one weak T4 ship. Recipe for failure.

Matcmaking itself should not allow ships with the same rank in the line up. However, in game they are only disabled by being greyed out.

thanks for your input - forwarded to Devs

We might see something like this in the near future. Stay tuned for the next patches.

I play Robocraft and their "licence " awards +5% to entire team per person with licence. Licence holder of course gets the full amount. I think they also got the 5% bonus.

Of course you probably have to balance the licence holders just to make sure one team doesn’t get 5 and the other 0 - perhaps allow a difference of 1 or 2 depending on licence holders available.

It’s nice and puts that aspect of premium in good light since it helps others. The cool thing is if everyone is awarded a licence due to an event you get stacked quite a bit.

I guess you could put a cap of 200% increase for times when everyone has licence and there is also a credit and synergy gain event on

Matches are smaller in Star Conflict than in robocraft. Adding another parameter to the already struggling matchmaker will just make it more difficult.

Hacked firmware should have an icon of a Wii.
