Green numbers when healing

Simple suggestion: to let pilots see who they are healing and for how much. The numbers should be green, as to signify that they are healing and not damaging, as well as not conflicting with standard damage types.

The problem is, I can see there being even more screen clutter than there needs to be if you’re healing an ally destroyer (for example) and also hitting a couple of enemies with the splash damage.  Is there a way to make this number show up somewhere else, maybe not on the ally ship?

It’s tiny numbers. You don’t see destroyers complaining about screen clutter while they are damaging 26 enemies at once and coating their screen with “enemy destroyed”.

It’s tiny little bitty numbers that show up next to ships on your HUD just like damage numbers. If you’re so worried about clutter we can make it a toggle option. Xp

Simple idea is simple: make it a checkbox in the HUD customization options. Also, no there will be no screen clutter, you already see dealt damages and those don’t bother you.

Fox is right.

No, it really would clutter. Don’t forget that heals are online permanently, so there would be constant distracting green numbers all over the screen.

It is sufficient to have an indicator of the total number of people receiving heals, I find.

This.

And i thought we were talking about Eclipse only, my bad. Yes, having EVERY healing done show numbers (meaning from active modules too) would indeed make it too cluttered.

I made the same mistake, had to rewrite my post XD But I didn’t change much, even just for eclipse I find it not necessary

Okay once again I will say this, but in bold so you can read it.

The best part about OPTIONS is the fact they they are OPTIONAL.

Have you ever enabled all 8 options such as player name, ship status, etc for every ship in the minimap?

In some moment far in the past I thought it was a good idea to have most possible information without having to select your target … but then you can’t see the really important things anymore.

The important thing is to know if you are effective.

  1. Do you hit?

  2. How much of the healing he receives is yours?

  3. Are you effective here or is somewhere else someone with 1% hp who needs a repair before he crashes because he wants to scrap spy-containers?

I think it’s up to the player’s taste.

At some point, you could argue that health bars are clutter because there is a dumb option which allows you to hide them.
