Green mist balancing

So i’m sure that plenty of Waz’Got players have tried the “Green mist” special module, and have probably decided that it is near useless compared to the previous two modules, allow me to list pros and cons compared to “Scavenger drones” and “Alien satellites”

 

 

pros compared to Scavenger drones:

-2 more damage per shot/10 more rounds per minute

-has a defensive use, however impotent it is

 

cons compared to Scavenger drones:

-drone production time is 18 seconds longer

-ability just isn’t particularly useful

-no life steal effect

-has no healing capabilities/doesn’t grant synergy for use

 

Quite a stacked deck already, let’s hope it compares better against alien satellites

 

pros compared to Alien satellites:

-has a defensive use, however impotent it is

 

cons compared to Alien satellites:

-drone production time is 27 seconds longer

-no life steal effect

-ability just isn’t particularly useful

-has no healing capabilities/doesn’t grant synergy for use

-has 11 less damage per shot

 

Wow, just wow. seeing the difference between Green mist and every module before it shows just how weak it is. So let’s see how we could fix that.

 

buff idea 1: Life Steal

give the drones some kind of life steal, it is simple enough.

 

buff idea 2: Manta Ray

ooh, this one is fun! so some people i spoke to said that the Green mist skin looks like a manta ray, and i was thinking maybe there could be some kind of agility buff, like a passive +X speed, +X maneuverability, ETC.

 

buff idea 3: Potency

increase the parameters of the activation, +X range, +X duration, ETC.

 

buff idea 4: Added Benefit

boost the activation with a side effect, maybe 5 seconds of radar invisibility, or allies are healed for damage blocked, be creative.

xKostyan, why do you think Green mist is balanced?

a) Drone generation timer is not as important when there are ways to gain drones from corpses + weapon that can pick them up for you

b) It is an AOE Combat Reboot, on 12 seconds cool down, even if you only had 2 charges - I don’t get how that is “impotent” or not “practically useful”, that is literally a life saver.

 

Combine that with couple of gunships/commands on a tournament and good luck fighting through their invulnerability / tank

interesting points, it’s nice to see reasons for the opposite sides, i see your point, what is your opinion on the lack of life steal?

Not everything gets to have a Life Steal

I agree, the Green Mist Drones special module is particular useful and life saving , especially in PvP. It is so powerful that 2 players already ranted at me and sweard to me in PM in the game and said they reported me of : “abusing Combat Reboot” play style.

tai’thaq is a gimmick and this is about a module that is too weak compared to the other options

  • buff Waz’Gul
