Good and Proven Leveling concept.

First of all, sorry that I am suggesting you you borrow ideas from the other team, but it is good concept. -> Not originally my idea.

So here is what I am talking about :

So basically if you research this one it takes 30% from flying other ships, but 130% when flying the previous ship.
So, if you need 4000 research points and you fly different plane or different series and let’s say you get 500rp per match you will get about 150/match, but if you fly the previous model of the ship you are researching you will get 650/match, assuming you fly the whole fight with it and not being shot down early.

So, how does that translate into SCon you may ask ?

Here is what m thought is (sorry for not providing earlier tier’s example, but I have nothing not full before r10, but this concept is pretty neat for newbies and low level players!):

So, I have Kite max level. I also have Kite-M bought. I also have Black Bomber.

If I fly kite then certain % of the synergy gained (only when Kite is on max level) transfers directly to Kite-M,

because it is basically the same ship and you have experience flying it, but 0 to Black bomber, because it is different.

None of the synergy is gained as bonus unless Kite is max level. Even though you can buy Kite-M as early as lvl 7.
None of the synergy is gained if Kite is max level, but Kite-M is not bought.

This will ease the transition from T1 to T2, T2 to T3 etc.
Because you can buy R4/7/10 ship and continue playing with your previous ship for awhile. Then just switch to the same ship(basically) but on new tier.

R4/7/10 have the bad reputation of being bad for the tier they are in, but if you can play the previous tier and start using them on synergy level 4 or 8 it will be way less struggle and more enjoyment.

The catch : Unless you actually go and max them out you can not gain synergy for the next one.
So you can not get synergy for R5/6 on your R3. (Unless there is direct transition R3->R5)

If it is R3>R4>R5 then with R3 you can synergize your R4 to certain level and then play it as a stable ship earning Synergy (once it is maxed) for R5 or jump to R5 directly, having no bonuses there at all and starting the struggle of synergy level 1. Your Choice.

Premiums remain exclusive method of free synergy. With them you can level w/e you want, while using w/e you like.

Too much complicated. They want GRIND don’t forget that point.

We already have free synergy, which represent the 30% that win other ships if you don’t fly them.

If you want a similar system, the maximum you can request from the dev is that once a ship is maxed, his synergy goes to the nearest unmaxed ship above his position in the ship line.

But it would make premium ship a bit useless, so they won’t do it.

I don’t like the warthunder system. In the end is way more grindy.

I don’t see anything wrong with the current SC system. The economies in both games are too different.

About the 30% thing - 5% free synergy is nowhere near a good percentage. Even the 20% of the premiums is meh if you look at the big picture.

About the system being more grind - there are few 100 of ships there. Only 150 here.

And explain why should we not get synergy for flying basically the same ship earlier ?

Well, now synergy isn’t a real problem.

It’s really easy to farm syn and credit.

Ship tree is not that bad with all those shortcuts. We often have free 1-2 day license (event or log-in reward), invasion give a big amount of credit and a fair amount of syn (to the ship you used).

The real grind start with mk3 item, which is a good things for newbs.

BTW, I have over 2k artifacts but not enough voucher to buy an mk3 item.

I guess everyone sees it through his own prism.
I do not really need that system as I already have pretty much everything I want or need.
The idea is more for the new guys. IMO it reinforces playing some of your favorite ships until you learn to play them before jumping to other tier. Remember tier rushers with 1 r15 and rest T1?
And how “easy” it is to farm synergy - have you tried leveling r10, while having 1650 dsr lately?

I remember tier rusher. If they exist than it’s because we don’t have synergy problem do we ?

Force player to stay with one ship until mastered isn’t what SC want. Because of his low population it tries to push people on higher tier, to not have hours of queue.

I only have a few t5 ship. Most of my other ship line are t3 and even t2 for Jeri inties + Fed frigs.

I started buying t4-5 ships just recently.

I have absolutely no problem to level those r10 ships. And if I don’t want to use that r10, I just use my premium ship and use free syn.

I have harder time to have the credit to buy the next ship before it is maxed. But like I said, credit is easy farm too.

If you want to level a ship, just do your daily Invasions missions with that ship. You should win 20-30k syn  + 300-600k credit per side of the conflict.

You know the worst thing about that image?

The Kite series used to exist only in T3…

As for the idea, the devs already copy/pasted ideas from other Gaijin games, so I don’t see the problem of further breaking that; everyone hates leveling their ships.

However… the first 4 levels (the essential ones) are incredibly easy to get, done in 2-4 matches. So this idea goes out the window.
