Gamescom 2015

Hi Guys

After the big booth Gaijin got on the last years Gamescom i was courius about the 2015th booth. I hoped that after the release they will have a big Star conflict section too. What i saw, was far away from my expectations. On the second thought i had a realy hard laugh about it. Gaijin was “there” but had no booth. Not only that, they didnt even mention about showing Starconflict! All they did was to let Warthunder run on about 10 PCs. No Gaijin guys where in sight to show the all those interested the game and reply the questions they had.

I am sad, but it is the confirmation on what i think on Gaijin. Exept the russian market there is no interesst in distribution of the Games. Is there really no more interesst to promote Starconflict or Gaijin at all? You guys could have shown the new Dreadnought modus which didnt exist last year at all!

So you could laugh with me, here are some pictiures of the “Gaijin booth” (yes, there is a Roccat logo on it with Roccat staff explaining the technic they sell. And shows to promote the Roccat stuff)

Maybe Gaijin should get a few tips from the guys of Greybox who promotet Dreadnought or from Wargaming itself xD

In hesitated to go this year… I’m glad I didn’t.

Hello,

there was no big booth from Gaijin, because neither War Thunder nor Star Conflict had any big content patch within the last month. The only game that had something new was Crossout and therefore it got a closed area in the booth where you could try it.

We are interested in the EU market as well as in the US market, but for advertisement such exhibitions are very expensive tool.

There have been GMs and CMs from WT as well as me from SC for questions;)

the live feed for WT was just loops of previews of content which already got a devblog and videos (destructable content, PBR, british tanks, new Cologne map, and new rendering system.)

They still ran War Thunder on 10 PCs…

Star Conflict was not even mentioned or at least ran on 1-2 PCs…

They knew about this event and they could promote it, especially Star Conflict.

I agree about the lack of content, but this is irrelevant for new/er players. Main thing is to promote the game. Updates will always come later and improve the game.

From the activity on our forums here. (Around 200 guests and 5-10 members on average) it is clear what playerbase thinks of this.

WarThunder has over 5000 guests/members on the forums.

This is the final nail in the coffin. And this time, the coffin isn’t empty.

I am very disappointed regardless and I do not really believe such explanation.

When in doubt, rely on instincts. They never let me down. Still, it only proves what to think of Gaijin.

Still, I do not wish to argue here, nor is my intention.

If September update/Autumn season fails to introduce on what was promised, then this game has no real future.

There is no need for such a negative point of view. There have always been people that were saying the game has no future and will die soon, however we are still here playing and we are far from being dead.

Easy to say if the game has to hide its Onlineplayers counter. In the “good old days” there was no need for that xD

I was often passing by the booth and only one time i saw a guy that wore an Warthunder shirt. I hope that was an employee and not a fan

Ok, i let it count that a booth on a fair is expensiv. But i neither saw some promotion on Game magazine or anywhere else. And without promotion, the playerbase will get smaller (as we could see as long as the counter had existid) I really hope the autumn update will improve the game, but my hope gets smaller every day :frowning:

do u really mean that 400 pilots at night time in europe are far away from being dead? do not believe that is honest as u are smart i think. a blind would see that the end is near if no actions like advertisements are done.

Well during EU night time, EU players usually sleep. During the prime time the amount of players online is a lot higher.

Maybe you can stop being so pessimistic and preferably stop posting if you have no interest in the game as it seems very aparrent that you wish for its demise.

is not about that “i can t stop being so pessimistic”. i do love this  game for sure . is still best of genre and this is main reason i ask for advertisements. “telling all is good” as u and ohters do will for sure not help. bad issues do not dissapear only because we do not mention them. asking me not to post further is sign of the whole problem and not the posts i do. i wish this game enduring sucess but this will not be reached the way is done at the moment. sorry but truth is not as easy to supress. not as hard to make some ads and reiviews in gaming media. would change all. world of warships has as mentioned before 30000 daily users. is lots more bad as sc so the prob is for sure the lack of advertisements for sc.

Not even a star conflict logo? Is Gaijin embarrassed about the game or something?

it was nothing but crossout, WT had it’s stream but no mention at gamescon either.

At least War Thunder had their logo up on there. Plus ran on ten PCs, according to OP. I mean, I wasn’t there, but it looks like they’re just ignoring the fact that Star Conflict exists.

War Thunder had more then 10Pc but i didn’t count them, was only running to Dreadnought.

here is player base from steam 649 players at peek time,i don’t believe that more than 200-300 players play from launcher so it’s about 800-900 players per day at peek time

in April 2013 SC lost 50% of the steam playerbase…

There play far more people via the launcher + we now have players from ARC.

if “far more players play the game” why was the player counter removed? give me an honest answer and not “it takes too much resources” because i know that it doesn’t take  much resources, even a calculator like this one can handle that

‎I found an old screenshot on Tuesday, ‎7/22/2014, ‏‎20:48:18 CST US time during sector conquest, 385 players, probably even less now days, don’t know since they hided it. Your chart says 720 during July 2014, so during Russian peak hours and combine players using launcher and Steam, there’s only 320 more players than my screenshot during a peak time in July.

I want this game to be better so please advertise… still haven’t found another space arcade game that’s better than Star Conflict.
