Game Development Plan

to make my last post not look like i dont see positive things happening, i wanted to add that personally i do see good things in the past:

  • ellidium theta interior design is really cool, it was a really nice addition and i like the style
  • ui overhaul is really good work until now (and i hope the crazy anchoring of some of the windows are just temporary) - i also know how much work it is to actually implement ui in a game engine
  • this includes features like resizable chat, linkable modules
  • the rank bonuses were a really good idea, generally any idea that makes ships more even
  • nightingale, dart, etc. are really good looking ships
  • it was brave to make the market, even if i am not sure if i like the current concept

There are good things … your right … this is not a negative quote but sadly a true one  , for every good thing we get 10 bad things get dumped on us in updates and ninja patches…nightingale is cool but the  insanely expensive Dart is a worthless ship in any game mode . I have one and never use the worthless thing  It would be nice if  the Dev’s could balance the patches so we get 50% good things and 50% bad things … the current 10% good and 90% bad is the reason it takes so long to queue anything in this game. patch 1.4 has chased so many players away we have to deal with rank 1 newbies in every game mode

Why does the forum break when I try to quote a message in a spoiler now??

It’s pretty much over, Star Conflict Team! I think that you basically f***ed it up! I am just stating my opinion here.

Crossout more likely has 20-25 times more players than Star Conflict, probably much better financial support and that game is still in Open-Beta.

You have a deathly ill patient who you don’t know how to treat and you’re trying to give him something extra, to last a few more days, but the end result will be the same!

Patient dies before his time!

Star Conflict is a perfect example on how you can botch once a superbly good game!

Management changed, and with it, team as well and their ambitions, but the soul of the game was eventually lost!

Here’s why:

  • You lost too many of your (loyal and supportive) players!

You also don’t really care about promotion and don’t do any real and active efforts on a proper scale to increase its current existing playerbase.

  • My Friend and Follow list is basically full, yet I only see 2-3 players online on average, the rest are basically gone!

Problem is that basically everyone I know says the same thing. It’s a Ghost list!

  • There is no incentive to play or even interest to play. Why would I? The resources I get, are getting destroyed!

Parts that I need, just won’t drop for me, unless if I trade and pay for them… (P2W).

  • Ships that are not broken and overpowered, but are pretty much balanced, are getting “ninja nerfed” in number of parameters, without even mentioning this in the patch notes.

  • Ship components that I need, won’t drop, so there is no real reason for me to play, because of very low % chances.

(System that is literally designed to exploit people’s weaknesses and their gambling addictions.)

  • Promised content usually comes at a snail’s pace speed, delivery is often postponed or even cancelled later. One such example: Shipyard’s Laboratory.

  • You plan to release all ten Ellydiums’ ships, but at the same time you are promising other content.

Instead of focusing on a single active aspect, you’re basically fragmenting your efforts on multiple areas…

  • Open Space rework - without any real community cooperation and input of informative nature, we don’t even know what those changes are, and how will they affect players.

(OS Launch tag price, monetization, possible changes to the Implant system, Ship Tree, etc.)

  • The rest of the stuff you mentioned above is pretty much the same stuff you kept saying for years now. (Nothing really new, just more of the same.)

  • Economic aspect, including Trading, is too aggressive and dependent now.

It was meant to help players, now it’s based only on GS-based system, where you basically must use it, if you wish to proceed normally.

In short, illusion of progress is made, without revealing more specific features to players, at least before going into active production phase.

Once those features are done in advance, it’s not really community-based, but most on what developers think that community wants, often contradicting their wishes, at least from Veteran players.

Future is not set out in stone! You have knowledge, but you lack understanding!

There is no proper motivation and enthusiasm behind the Development team anymore, not any real commitment and passion to the cause, and no true loyalty anymore!

Instead of curing a disease, you wish to prolong it and make it manageable. It’s hard to admit your own failures, but refusal to learn from those is even worse!

heu… crossout is gajin lel, all players in the game “star conflict” can go on the game “crossout” but “crossout” is gajin too and after starconflict, croosout go take your money too .

Tactic economy of Gajin (warthunder, star conflict and crossout) is to sell a tank, ship cheated for a short time and after they will nerf because all player cry of course :). The human (me too) is very very good idiot, he buy all ships cheated… but it’s your money and we have a responssability too.

it’s my opinion, we speack economy, no game here ![:)](<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/001j.png “:)”) . (the devs love create good game, the business love create money easily and immediatly).  No fun for all, i’m agree.

ps: sry for my english

The Sound of Silence (SC themed remake by SIN)

Hello darkness developers, my old friends

I’ve come to talk with you again

Because a vision softly creeping

Left its seeds while I was sleeping

And the vision that was planted in my brain

Still remains

Within the sound of silence

In restless dreams

I walked flew alone

Narrow streets streams of cobblestone portal doors

'Neath the halo of a street station’s lamp

I turned my collar to the cold and damp

When my eyes were stabbed by the flash of a neon light

That split the night

And touched the sound of silence

And in the naked light I saw

Ten thousand people players maybe more

People Players talking without speaking

People Players hearing without listening

People Players writing songs posts that voices never shared

No one dared

Disturb the sound of silence

“Fools,” said I, "you do not know

Silence like a cancer crystalid grows

Hear my words that I might teach you

Take my arms that I might reach you"

But my words like silent raindrops nuke bombs fell

And echoed in the wells space of silence

And the people players bowed and prayed payed

To the neon god game they you made

And the sign flashed out its warning

In the words that it was forming

And the sign said

"The words of the prophets are written on the subway station walls

And tenement docking halls

And whispered in the sound of silence"

To Targem

Dear Devs. This post tells why many players are leaving, and what you can do. In short, you are _ very _ slow.
The mess all these players are talking about was caused by Destroyers and Alien ships. They broke the balance of the game. While with the Destroyers you cannot do anything - they are already being used, you still can do something with the Alien ships. Here is what - do not make them OP (overpowered). You want to make money so much that you make them very strong and the players pay. After this the other players cry, but you do not care. After half a year you nerf them and you annoy the buyers. By this time the active players have left the game because of the OP Alien ships. So, you get 10.000$ instead of 200.000$ from the players which would otherwise stay.
I have been following the forum and Facebook/Vkontakte on the news. And I have noticed ONE MAJOR propblem with the developers - THEY are VERY VERY SLOW. The Alien ships should have been nerfed a week after everybody started crying. The destroyers also killed everybody and you nerfed them half a year later. It had to be done 2 weeks after the players started crying.
So, the problem is not in NOT HEARING what we players say. It is the speed of your reaction. All the things which need very fast reaction are implemented half a year after the players start leaving, going offline, not visiting, boycotting. Your problem is that you are extremely slow. I hate to say it, sincerely, because you have done so many good things, but I want this game to continue living. I want the Universe of Star Conflict to live. I don’t want it to die, so this is my harsh help for you - BE FASTER! Make those 6 months into 3 weeks or 1 week.
“Major update of the Open Space: a revised map, new missions, enemies and technologies.”
This should have been done 8 months ago. Now you are telling us that this is your plan for the distant future. Come on! Stop just selling those Alien ships and boxes, and do this job in 1 month! I used to play every day for 6 hours and more, but now I only spend 30 minutes a day on the dailies. And I do not go PVP because I do not want to compete against all those hero shooters who kill 25 ships in 3 minutes.
I am still your fun and you are the best (OK, the only one) space shooter with a good view from the cabin and with maneuverable ships. No other game can beat your Caltrop or Taikin. The other games have slow and clumsy ships, and I am not a fun of slow snails.
Thanks for reading this, you are a rare 1% of the population with no attention deficit.
PS And tell Targem that they should change their strategist/marketologist/Einstein who is milking the cow so strongly. It began with the Destroyers which were supposed to give a lot of $, but did not suit the whole spirit of the game. Why can’t you understand there are many other games which specialize in Destroyers?
PSS and if you want to save the Trade system, make it AUTOMATIC, at last! I cannot sit there for the whole day, but I need to sell and buy! They say it worked automatically in Crossout, so why don’t you share your experience and make an automatic TRADE?? I need some parts for my Taikin, but I have been stuck for 4 months and I am still level 10! I want new things! Where are the new missions for Special Ops? the bars/stations in Open space? Colonizing the Alien planet in zone Ellydium Theta? New sounds in Open Space? New lines for the ships which attack you? Why can’t they understand I am stronger and they cannot attack me and cannot swear at me this way? Why are they so stupid? Where are the new skins for the ships? Ten of them can have the same skin. Where are the events like that which happened in Ellydium Theata when we got x100.000 damage and could kill the huge Aliens? How is it difficult to invent? Just give us some new things every week instead of one major update each 6 months. Add new things! For example, why do you give the task to grind Defence Contract 15 times a day? Why not other missions? Why is it so boring now? Can you get new ideas from your players? You do not have to do any titanic job, just add some new things from time to time. Otherwise, it got very boring! And it seems to be that even if you listen to my words, you will implement them in 6 months! You seem to have creative people in your tema writing those “Doomed Flotilla Part 1, 2, 3, 4 5, 6” stories, but why do you make NO changes to the gameplay? No exotic, no epic things? Just grind and grind and get bored and leave, right? Why not add a couple Aliens right in the middle of a PVP game? Why not make both teams co-operate to kill one Defiler in PVP? Listen, there must be so many ideas from the players, use them! The players tell you what they want! If they get what they want - they are happy and they stay in the game! You do not have to do lot of work to make some simple, unexpected, epic things! To start with, add some humour to the game. How is that so time/resource consuming to have someone write some jokes in the Daily tasks? Not expensive to hire some copyrighter with funny lines. Many other things are not expensive, but they would make this game exciting. A picture there, a line here, an exotic task there. Give something new, and fast (not in 6 months).

So far every patch has introduced yet another thing that inhibits progress or adds more grind, and it’s honestly just one problem on the pile. The economical system is a wreck. The game community is toxic trash. (no offense those here. Y’all coo.) The progression system revolves around destroying progress via pointless limitations and an incredibly useless RNG. None of the promised content ever sees its true potential. Implementation of what good content you have is so poor that the community immediately wants it gone or nerfed to the ground. Players still can’t trade, even with a system called “trade”. The options to spend on the game are just as worthless as playing normally.

I don’t see any reason for people to stay, or especially pay.

You devs must promise me and the players only one thing. That you will make all of the assets and development tools public so that a new developer team can take over and try to bring it back to life.

I know it’s not even in your scope right now, but that is my only wish. “When it dies, pass it on.”

I still remember them saying “hey guys, we’ll release OS rework summer 2017” or “We’ll deal with all Ellydium ships within a single year”

This is all I can think of when there’s a new update that just makes things worse (they always do more harm than good since like 2015)

They never said that

They did (first quote anyhow), and I took the time to search for it, because I’m sick of you and others constantly defending the devs when their game is going to xxxx and has been doing so for the past two years. OS rework should have been a month or two after it was released, when their figures told them very few people very using it anymore. Instead they chose to develop OP destroyers and alien ships that all the russian wallet warriors and niripas enjoy abusing, in order to maximise income (before nerfing them once everyone complains sufficiently for a few months). Annoying and milking customers is an unsustainable economic model.

As for this dev blog, well there’s nothing surprising in it. We’ll see what comes but I’m not hopeful.

Very unpopular opinion:

I actually think that the last few patches headed the game in the right direction, at least balance wise. Major imbalances have been resolved and even the latest ellydium ship, while being very strong, isnt massively imbalanced as the other two before. Destroyers are more in line with the rest of the craft, even though the gravi lens is still very irritating due to its long active time and friendly fire pull.

Standard Jericho ships have gained increased defences and many basic weapons have been improved. My suggestion about the friendly of slowing/energy draining missiles has been implemented and buffs and unique features for standard ships have been announced.

I get the impression, that damage control is happening, which is good.

I am looking forward to the next additions to the game. Keep it up! ![:)](<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/001j.png “:)”)

I have a few Destroyers and am wondering ??? whats the point of having a destroyer if it dies as fast as a frigate ?

because of damage multipliers and modules/specmodules/engines, they die faster than (most) frigates usually go down if you do it right…
