I believe this game should implement a system where you can invite a friend to play the game and get a bonus for the number of people you get to play and get to like tier 2. This will promote playerbase growth as it’s growing stagnant again and slowly going down since the steam release.
As in, Bob invites Eugene to Star Conflict. Eugene hits rank 5. Bob gets X number of credits for his invited friend sticking with the game.
Good idea but then there would have to be some kind of unique ID system to prevent people from exploiting it. Getting to Rank 5 is pretty easy for an average player. One could create/invite dummy accounts, play with them few hours to get to R5 and stack those invitation rewards on his “main” character account.
I suppose the best option would be to make it so if friend you invited bought Galactic Standards (or DLC via Steam) you get some % from that sale in GS rewarded to your account.
Talking about DLC - why Steam users are favoured with ability to have unique goodies while people who decide to cut out middle-man (Steam) and buy stuff directly from Gaijin Entertainment have no chance to get it or can’t buy some alternative unique stuff?
I don’t like the whole idea of these friend referral systems but it is certainly true that they buff the player base

that’s because steam normaly attaches conditions to releasing a game on their platform, making their release interesting and unique, attracting new customers and users alike. Which makes sense.

Referral systems are perfect tool to buff player base and fairly logical too if introduced right. All those facebook/twitter/like me spammy referral system are shite, though.
I fully understand how releasing games on Steam works and why there is a special Steam DLC.
What I don’t understand is why there is no “Limited Edition” type of merchandise for those who don’t use Steam. I never wrote that I want exactly same stuff as Steam users.
