Four-pilot squads now in PvP (Discussion)

Is such a squad balanced by an enemy one(aka endless queue waiting time) or is the restriction lifted(at least a 2-man squad)?

Well,thats one step ahead,i dont usually play pvp,lets not talk about playing in squads so for me it doesnt matter too much anyway.Remove the 100 credit drops.

Well, now we can’t complain about the squads because you won’t know they are playing unless:

 

• you are in said squad

• you see 3 people from the same corp and they are clearly working with each other ;p

• your team gets stomped and Corp Player 1, 2 and 3 are at the top (or bottom)

 

Lead indicator fix - will check out, hopefully fixed so i know my lock is achieved when it’s achieved and not before.

 New weapon seems anti destroyer support, time to fly my destroyers in the vertical plane because everyone flies in the 2d horizontal plane XD

The ability to create three pilots squad is not active at the moment.  Technical work is in progress. 

One small step to the right direction. Lets see.

Significantly increased the number of zones with station protection in open space
Zones without protection are mostly in the middle of the map

 

 

This is so ridiculous. So now it’s all carebear land! There were pvp zones in the open world and was totally legit. And now ? Only 4 zones ? You just destroyed the open space. Please explains the reasons ?

OS is not a real pvp place anyway. attack many vs 1-2 player was not fair anyway. Players usually just wanna finish their daily usually. Actually I like the idea to move the pvp players back to pvp.

It’s called roaming and up in everygames with open space / sandbox. So because there is daily mission you should be in a safe place ? If players don’t want to be shooted by a wing, they have to wing up or try to avoid. We create pvp content in openspace for the sake of the game. pvp in Open Space is completely a different pvp style than the arena one. Now we have an all safe systems because of what ? Avoid people to pvp in os ?..

If you got catched in OS, it’s your own fault. You know there are other people maybe hostile to you.

We love the killing in OS and removing PvP system and set it only in the middle with 4 systems is really sad and ridiculous. The OS should be something dangerous on some systems as it was before, if you get killed in the OS it’s your own fault. Also, since the OS is fully instanced, it’s really hard to get followed and killed… No one can just be farmed even with dumb fly.

I wasn’t very clear I think. I am completely against this change also. However in it’s current state, even with more red sectors, PVP in OS is useless and boring. There are so many things that need to be added to make it worthwhile:

 

  • Rewards for killing pilots, for example bounties or tags
  • Daily missions that encourage pvp, for example “kill x number of pilots”, “kill a transport escorted by another pilot”, etc
  • Tactical objectives for example corp-owned structures that could provide additional income or a docking place and could be destroyed by enemy corps
  • A dockable station in the centre of the map in pvp zones (see my suggestion [here](< base_url >/index.php?/topic/26501-fort-vida-elite-pilot-station/)), which would be where pirates hang out, but would also offer higher reward missions for PVEers, albeit with higher risk
  • An in-game alliance system
  • A corp/individuals standings system like in Eve
  • Full integration of sector conquest into OS, for ownership of sectors. For example the owner of a system can undock from that system, add improvements like defense guns, actually have their dreadnought in the system with them…
