I’d like to point out that whilst 2 step authentication is a good idea, google authenticator refused to scan the QR code and then the page refused to display the code that was needed for the other method of authentication.
Not sure if anyone else has had this problem, but it happened to me.
The way to get around it is to press the thing that says “authorization” in russian, instead of proceeding to 2 step verification. Or, hunt around in the URL until you find the “ru” bit and change that to “en” so you can read it.
But yes, it is a pain in the rear since it’s broken.
I only have this problem on my phone. But then it just won’t let me login at all, even without two-step authorisation. I submitted a ticket to support, hoping for a reply. If not I’ll ask Error, yes.
The first reply from support suggested clearing browser history, cookies etc. This didn’t work, and Michael’s second suggestion was to try a different browser, which didn’t work for me either (on my phone). I just thought I’d share these suggestions with you, it might work for some people.
I have been having this problem since it started, simply use the russian login and ignore the 2 step authentication and it work perfectly. I know its a work around but its working.
I think they’re trying to use this to stop the bots from getting on the forums, could be wrong. But every night at around 2 am my time, a spam bot appears about muscle cream or something.

If I try to ignore the 2 step auth, it just me back to the login screen again, telling me to do the second step.
