Foot switches / Foot pedals

Does anybody here use any foot switches? This game needs so many fingers to control your ship, so I thought of using my feet.
If you have any experience of using foot switches in Star Conflict, please, recommend something not too expensive.

I used to have one of this for clinical dictation, but have not tried it for game purposes.

I always thought one of these would be amazing for Star Citizen because it would make it feel like actual rudder pedals, but in Star Conflict it seems rather pointless. I frequently play it with just my mouse. (Then again I do have a 26 button mouse…)

I wonder if any ot these foot switches can be used in Star Conflict. Has anybody tried? I mean, I would use this device to fly up/down or use hull/shield modules, but it would also be great to use such to control my video/audio player/text editing software, Photoshop and any other software. I would assign its buttons for other purposes and not only in Star Conflict.

High customization option with several profiles, own memory and own software and more.

I did it just a couple of time. I had a weird control configuration for the space sim X where I was using 2 joystik+pedals and the keyb for all the macros.

It’s not that functional in Sc, If you use normal controls in game options keyb+mouse gives you all that you need. Things improve when you switch to advanced controls where you need a slight more responsive control feeling in order to do stuffs that normal controls do in a sort of “auto mode”. But advanced controls need a real good ping, so no. Foot switches+keyb+mouse wuold be kinda pointless. Also, you need to consider that if the foot switch are just switch and not “analog buttons/lever” where you can dose the strenght needed to send inputs, your feet after a while will start to suffer.

On top of that, afaik, SC don’t supports force-feedback input.

Nice idea, actually.

Guys, has anybody actually made foot switches work with Star Conflict? Does SC support foot switches?

How on earth do you right click with that? My finger would go off the end

I think it has joystick control, not sure about foot switches though.

Key to understand it is:

Software would bind switches of usb-devices to certain keyboard keys (e.g. in SC number keys 5,6,7,8, are not mapped).

The place you would operate a second mouse or input device - be it on top of a table or on the ground for your feet - is not important.

In deed my mouse 16 key mouse is administered in my Linux desctop as 2 seperate usb-input devices. This means, that yes, Star Conflict will accept input from more than 1 mouse   ![:)](<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/001j.png “:)”)

I had foot pedals assigned to rotation. But since removal of rotation keys - no more.

Aha! Have you tried assigning other functions to the foot switches? Say, using modules or other controls?

… its cool and get u more immersion in game and is healthy because u do workout more ![;)](<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/002.png “;)”)

I dont use any since, i somehow, lost mine. Nor did i ever used one for SC. But it was a Fragpedal Quad. I liked the level of pression adjustement on it. Good proportion between the 5 levels. Infinity pedal seems fine. I guess google already told you that but infinity and Stinky foot pedal are the competitors. They are the top 3 i guess.

My finger would hit at least 3 button at every smash. And that other guy with 26 buttons… where the hell do you put your hand on that. Or is it like hold a button and press another does X. Making it 10 buttons but combinations ups it to 26.(ctrl alt delete) kinda way.

I simply moved the buttons away from the keyboard to my mouse, i have balanced it quite nicely so each hand has the same amount of controls. It’s a lot easier to fly like this plus i got sooo many options it would downright unfair to use them, but i dont wanna get a bot ban xD
