Maximum range: 1,950m

Heat Capacity: 10/1

Tooltip: Fires a beam of particles that are resonating at the speed of conventional shields. This causes the beam to branch out and affect more nearby targets, while growing in strength over time.

 

Function: Once fired, a single large blue beam will flow from the front of the ship. As it hits an enemy, it will debuff them with a “charged” effect that causes the damage from the weapon to become more severe over time, as well as damage nearby enemies in a 550m radius from the ship. All enemies affected by the weapon receive these debuffs and will continue to chain the damage across nearby ships until the weapon stops firing.

I’m against this.

Perma debuff(at least it read so).
Beam, but being EM as damage type? Makes no sense for me.
Very good overheating rate.
Simple AoE burner(really 750?!m radius???). You can easily perma decap a beacon with this.

Long range and permanent debuff??? Where is this? It has barely any range. But I do admit that the debuff’s maximum range is a bit large in terms of beacons. Tweaked.

Also the debuff Is only applied for as long as the weapon is hitting a target. Otherwise it does nothing, and the chain stops.

Over 2km is LONG for interceptors. With having no spread, you hit the same on close as on long range. And with the +750(now 550)m additional range it can harm the second enemy at ~3km distance.
Your weapon have nearly specs of fighter weapons.

That the debuff wear off wasn’t explained from you.

But mind the lower damage. It would eventually pile up to higher damage but still not even close to that of something like shrap or pulse. And my shrap/pulse usually get around 3km range so idk what yer talking about.

 

Regardless, I’ve lowered the max range a bit.
