One of the things I noticed was that I was able to get into a Tier 2 ship in one night, but not able to even get Tier 1 level 3 weapons because I didn’t have the loyalty. What’s the point of even having level 3 weapons if you don’t even have a chance to get them, let alone use them by the time you’re in that tier level?
My suggestion would be to give us more ways to learn loyalty on our contracts. Yes I understand that there are timers on the big loyalty contracts, but give us a lot more little ones, or give us more frequency on the low loyalty contracts.
There needs to be a fine line between purchasing premium modules and earning them. I’d say by the time you’re 1/4 to 1/2 through the tier you should be able to purchase the level 3 mods. If you need instant gradification you can buy the premium the second you enter that tier level.
Blue items are considered to be the 2nd best items, where the best-purple items are very rare(i’v played 500+ games and have 2 purple so far). You are not supposed to get blue items as easily as you think.

reputation gains do need to be adjusted. Loyalty i think is fine at lower ranks, higher ranks could use some love.
Lots of adjustments really need to be made between power creep, reputation progress, economic progress, and the contract system overall could use an overhaul.
I think some people have missed the point. The problem is that by the time I actually have the loyalty rank to purchase these blue modules, I’m already in a new tier of ship with a new tier of blue modules which require even higher loyalty ranks. Which in essence makes earning loyalty to begin with useless if you’re never going to be able to use the blue module with you’re current ship tier.
I’m not asking to have things easily, I just want to enjoy using that blue module while I’m in that tier. If they don’t want us to have these blue items right away then they really need to slow down the amount of experience, reputation, and credits we get because the developers are making these blue items useless. I just think if they increased the amount of loyalty one received it would be easier than changing three things to accommodate for this. Again I want to work for these items so if I have to do a ton of low reward contracts over and over again with lets say a 15 minute timer (verses a hour timer) I should be rewarded. At them moment the current loyalty system favors those who only put 25 mins to an hour of time in. Kinda lame.
I touched on this in one of my Orginal Posts but in one week and a few days I am now finally rank 6 in a single Sub Faction. The thing is is the ‘daily’ contracts can net you about 8500 or so every 24 hours or so at Rank 6 Sub Faction so I think sub faction was intentionally designed as the ‘time sink’ in this game. But I agree that if you devote yourself to a single sub faction from starting the game then your sub faction rank should scale with your Main Faction rank.
I have yet to figure out how to fully suggest a fix for this but a few ideas bopping around in my head is:
Increase Sub Faction reward earned / decrease timers so they come up more readily
Give a Percentage based “bonus” to Sub Faction earned the LONGER you keep doing contracts for that Sub Faction (so that way you can’t switch between sub factions constantly)
Also decreasing money earned no way- those higher tiers are exponentially expensive with even less money earned. . . I just would like to see things scale nicely and proportionately with effort / rewards earned. . .

Decrease timers I think would be the best thing they could do for the lower rewarding loyalty point contracts. That way people that log in everyday for 30mins to an hour still are competitive, yet people that do put a ton of time are rewarded from working hard.
#1) the pay options, while somewhat for power, are largely to remove the ‘grind’ of the game
#2) the grind is not balanced, you grind mainly for credits and loyalty. Reputation is easy to get. loyalty gains aren’t that important, especially if you have little/no credits. IMO Loyalty should just be removed. Sub-faction choice should be more like faction choice, or it should level at a % of your reputation.
#3) it’s not clear that you can actually stay in one Tier/Rank of ships for an extended amount of time. However this goes against most gamers intuition. typically you always want to be upgraded and using the best stuff. However it’s not clear that when you first jump a tier, you actually take a step back. T3+ are really where most of the ‘beta’ feel comes from. T1 and T2 ships are pretty well thought out. so I’d suggest just sticking there if you want to play for fun. the new ships are shiny, yes yes i know. but you dont’ need them to enjoy the game.
#4) Contract system as a whole seems broken and makes little sense to me. I should be able to accept any contract at anytime. I’m a mercenary. i’m not a soldier. why am i paying for exclusive contracts? they should be paying me. There should be more passive ways to gain loyalty. the contracts are really more like daily quests. and a poor representation at that.
