I’m sorry, but if popping a Shield Booster causes me to drop the bomb when I’m carrying it, I’m pretty sure popping a 20 second invisibility module should cause a ship to drop the bomb. If popping a Phase Modulator (5 second invisibility for 210 energy cost) causes the bomb to be dropped, what precisely is the rationale behind Adaptive Camo (20 second invisibility for 93 energy cost) not doing the same? It’s really hilarious watching the people who exploit this module try to justify why it’s not OP when anyone who’s played Detonation and wasn’t flying a Covert Ops Interceptor can tell you plain as day that it is.
Yes, IF you’ve got a Recon Interceptor and IF you’re highly skilled at flying it and IF you devote 100% of your time to trying to counter a single enemy module on a single ship type and IF you’ve got a bit of luck on your side you MIGHT have about a 50/50 chance of actually stopping a CovOps camo rush team in Detonation. The other 99.9% of the time, you’re going to be seeing a lot of Detonation matches ending within 2 minutes, as I’ve seen multiple times tonight.
Adaptive Camo has a lot of utility uses as a “get out of jail free” escape module, a beacon capture tool, and a Captain assassination device. Causing a CovOps ship to drop the bomb when activating it isn’t going to suddenly make the module worthless.
