Explain EVERYTHING

So , the rules for combat recon have changed again…

ok , i haven’t read the patch notes. But i shouldn’t need to, neither should new players.

It should have been fixed a long long time ago, so i am assuming it’s because noone else have made a post about it.

SUGGESTION:

when a game starts, have a description saying what the rules are.

Same goes for like every other aspect of the game. Explain things to the user. Just simple core things. I know it takes a lot of effort to make the hangar into a christmas theme, so consider working on this core aspect of the game as well :stuck_out_tongue:

No offense but, dont be lazy, that causes extra work for everybody. You can simply read the patch notes only once (will take you less than 15 minutes), or have a tremendous wall of text fitting somewhere in the game map preventing you to see anything important. If you dont wanna catch up with whats going on, dont plead for it. If you are so worried about time, use the time your client is updating to read the new content.

c’mon this game don’t even have proper wiki page

Since wiki is a community project, and in no means done by devs, you are free to make a proper wiki and show us how it is done.

well… No.

All I know about this game is farmin iri aka bein in corp with iri sectors.

Are you kidding me? Educating myself on the game takes too much effort! I’d rather the game change to suit my playstyle and needs than learn how to play!

How about you read the patch notes like a normal videogame player. I can see why you’d need an explanation if your native language is not English, but laziness is unacceptable.

Depending on the size of the patch it is not possible to mention everything in game, therefore we have patchlogs.

a tremendous wall of text fitting somewhere

That’s not what i want.

How about --Because my ‘skill’ should not have to make up for a feature of the game IMO. I use Slackware linux because i some times rather like to do things myself and i like to learn things.

But when i play this game, even if they change it, i just want to play the game, not my webbrowser.

  • And i want the game to be more transparent to new players. It’s not Forum Conflict.

And even if you are ‘right’ , the game should tell you “Combat Recon - Warning, gamemode has changed - See patch notes for further info, you have 20 seconds, and btw YOU ARE THE TEAM CAPTAIN”

I do have an AP degree in IT-technology, which was an all english programme. I’ll have you know I graduated top of my class in the Navy Seals. I am trained in gorilla warfare and I’m the top sniper in the entire US armed forces. – Those last bits are not entirely accurate, but nevertheless; my english proficiency has little to do with the issue i am addressing.

 but laziness is unacceptable.

laziness is truth

If you really think what I’m suggesting is a problem you can just go explain yourself further! - And i will be glad to hear you out.

Linus torvalds said something along the lines of “don’t break userspace” –

It’s fine if you make changes in the game, but don’t hurt the experience

Depending on the size of the patch it is not possible to mention everything in game, therefore we have patchlogs.

Ok, I’m not imagining adding or removing text in the game as more than a minor task. But if it is differently so, i will be understanding for sure. Thanks for consideration and a quick response.

dude, look how much time did u waste with this topic…. go read the dang patch log or gtfo

I know reading the patch log is macho and obvious, and i did before starting this topic. Now stop mentioning it everyone. You are completely missing the point.

I don’t want new players having to read the newest patch log just to be able to know the rules.

Try to explain how we fix that dang problem. I will gtfo if u give me a better answer

EZ…42

literally the best suggestion in this topic to fixing the problem :frowning:

If many players are that lazy or by some reason lacking of interest in knowing game functioning, then that would explain why so much people has no idea how to play, even when the description (easy to understand) is right there inside the game, in the module icon you click to equip. I doubt theres gonna be much difference adding a pop up from the client displaying patch notes, since opening the browser (in the link provided by the client!!) is literally a quick single step. Since implementing such a ingame display (literally inside the match) is a solution for lazy people, and devs should not work for lazy people, then lazy people should stop being lazy and develop such feature for other lazy people who did not work on that ingame display (redundancy is important here). If you only want to play and not even take a bit of your time reading whats new and important for you to see, then you have no right to ask a fix for a problem you caused by yourself.

…and devs should not work for lazy people…

I don’t want to offend the guy thay opened this thread. Just aswer to that quote making some “fun”.

They LOVE lazy people: lazy guy will buy Maulers! Also lazy people are not so good in killing other lazy people, so… More lazy people will come! More lazy people buying Maulers! Yey!

damn, you made my comment loose all validity D:

Ther’s already one, so outdated and incomplete that it wuold be better to start over. Also, every patch will mean cheange half the wiki sometimes… That wuold be one hell of a job.

I’m too lazy for that. You instead…

damn, you made my comment loose all validity D:

Sorry :stuck_out_tongue:

you have no right to ask a fix for a problem you caused by yourself.

I don’t know what to say.

It says “YOU ARE THE TEAM CAPTAIN - TRY TO SURVIVE” or sth like that

i just wanted it to say something like

YOU ARE THE TEAM CAPTAIN

YOUR TEAM CAN RESPAWN WHILE YOU ARE ALIVE

Y__OU HAVE 2 LIVES

It’s really that simple… and people can still read the patch logs as much as they want, they just wont have to.

I know reading the patch log is macho and obvious, and i did before starting this topic.

I feel like i am repeating myself a lot. I am suggesting to improve the transparency of a core element of the game via a simple workaround.

You guys are trying to measure d**s by who is reading the patch-log and “not being a lazy person”. I just want to focus on the obvious simple feature and how it can be improved. And i haven’t seen one single good argument to say it’s not a good idea besides Error’s

I’m making a suggestion.

YOU ARE THE TEAM CAPTAIN

YOUR TEAM CAN RESPAWN WHILE YOU ARE ALIVE

Y__OU HAVE 2 LIVES

In the end it would still need to include the battle duration, what happens when the captain dies later and much more stuff.

We are working on better tutorials, but for game changes the patchlog is the place to go.
