Evil Space Bears [ESB]

I still stand by my previous statement.

what are the problems? gather friends and arrange a clan war?

The standard of corporate ESB:

Battle mode: Capture the lighthouses - the classic standard with a limited rep ships.

Number of Players: preferably 12x12.

Number of ships of the players: 3

Premium: Premium missiles prohibited. The prohibition of premium vehicles is discussed.

Technical: any, but the higher the better.

Legionnaires (pilots of other corporations) may be involved.

Come on now, make it detonation where taking risks can grant a win!

Number of Players: preferably 12x12.

Number of ships of the players: 3

Why 12? I thought you lads were used to 3v3s against bots…

Im game :yes_yes:  Would be a fun battle

You need wins for pvp rating, bad players cant give you win.

Like Oryngton said, you only need to win roughly 20-30% to maintain a positive rating. Also, by having a group of better players, you will most likely get put on the ‘strong’ team, with nothing but a bunch of baddies. Meaning not only do you have to carry your team to victory with a 3 man squad, but you also get less points for winning. Meanwhile, all the lower rated players in higher ranked corps have 3-4 squads on the other team, working together against you.

Corp PvP rating is worthless currently. The more active players you have, the better your rating will be, regardless of skill. Look at the top ten, currently they’re almost nearly identical in ratings for PvP as they are for roster size.

Not up to me, I’m just a meagre pilot. I do feel sorry for your lone wolves I usually meet on the field. They often die fast enough (more often than not by others’ hands).

Excuses losers

Tournaments were т-2, т-3 total logical and inevitable

Tournaments and Random Pug matches are not in the same category. Stomping people with fully r15 equipped ships simply cannot be compared to fights on equal ground. Whilst I (and by proxy, my corporation) have respect for the achievements and skill ESB have shown in tournaments (and occasionally, outside as well), you cannot say that some of your pilots don’t have an enormous amount of arrogance as well as a poor attitude towards their team in pug matches.

Note that I say some - I know some very friendly team-orientated players in ESB whom I fly with on a regular basis and have a lot of respect for.

You need wins for pvp rating, bad players cant give you win.

A ‘bad’ corporation only requires a 15% win rate to gain PvP rating. This pretty much involves simply showing up and doing nothing. A ‘good’ corporation requires 75%+ win rate.

You only need to win roughly 20-30% of all participating matches to get a positive PvP rating.

I still stand by my previous statement.

15% for bad players.

75% for good players.

Anything less, and the PvP rating of your corporation goes down from your activity.

Whilst some of the pilots above can not speak on behalf of our entire corporation, I can.

The WolfPack will accept your challenge. We will require preparation time, advance notice (at least a week) and a set time which works for all involved parties. I will also need to discuss this with our friends & allies. 12x12 is almost impossible to do on our own since the latest patches as activity has reached an all-time low with many veteran pilots taking a break or leaving the game altogether.

I suggest we first pick a date, time and tier, and work from there.

The only restriction we place on this is that we will not fight on Russian servers. They are currently absolutely awful for most of our players and pretty much unplayable a majority of the time.

Uh, I dunno how to put this, but Evil, if ya need another member to fill in for one of your spots, I’m your guy. I am pretty sure that ESB knows how crazy I am, and how much of a “threat” I am to there games…okay, a MINOR threat, its still something.

Also, ESB, I would like to announce that I actually like your curb stomping nature, you are viewed as the “evil” corporation that needs to be taken out, the “sith Lord of corps” in a sense.

Like all good stories, the bad guys need to be stopped, and the good guys NASA, TUF, WPK, and others need to come together and attack back, taking down the “Evil Space Bears!” and there Tyrannical rule over the galaxy!

Man, this makes for a good story and for some “friendly” competition.

As friendly as blowing eachothers spaceships to bits can get  They do often give a GF, but the matches that are just unfair do suck against em in T5 :stuck_out_tongue:

I know of a few of our members who would love to take a crack at it. Although, not entirely sure if we should be grouped with “the good guys”. After all, us TUF people are a bit of everything…

I noticed that… being more often locked on since i bear the tag. And getting more rants after the match (someone called me “mental” regarding my attitude yesterday).

Still I dont get it, and to be fair I know ESB from both perspectives, read being a member of ESB and not.

There is no evil attitude at least not in the matches i witnessed from both sides.

Still you cant blame us for working as a team and breaking the opponent resistance before we go for the objectives, since it is a valid and useful tactic.

So please, tell me what bothers you?

TUF people are Tough!

What bothers me, is my lack of improvement. I need to get better. Be more efficient, and actually make ESB respect me, as a pilot. Thats my goal

Make it @2 weeks from now and ill join the WPK ranks x)

Also, make sure it’s just after patch release so everything is screwed up

Zap, one of those always targeting you is me, just to make you think twice :stuck_out_tongue:

Urgh, I want to fight them. I just don’t want to do it with the game so broken, as it is.

We are merely waiting for the game to be fixed before we get properly active once again.

As for the challenge- we have already formerly accepted, though this requires some advance planning. Our envoys are already in contact.

Do not count us out easily, a cornered wolf is a dangerous foe. Whereas we show respect where respect is due, we expect the same in return. Any less only puts you in a negative light with the rest of the community.

Meanwhile I urge members to save any fighting spirit for in-game matches. Word-fencing on the forums gets nobody anywhere. People tend to get your point better when they’re busy watching you in the kill-cam.

Maybe it’d help if Wynnypuh changed icons?  My only issue with ESB is the lack of objective focus.  Other than that, on average the best in a match on kills/assists.

Odd, I half learned to cancel locks because of squad members all ganging up on me for a simple lock.  Were you solo or in a squad?  If you were solo, you deserved it.  You’re part of the Evil space bears. People want to steal a little of your DSR is all.

In any case, what about an addition to make it more interesting?  Each player can only take one class of ship, ECM, engineer, gunship, etc.  They must start with T1, and if they die go to T2, if they die again they go to T3.  The more you kill the other team, the stronger their ships get.

Odd, I half learned to cancel locks because of squad members all ganging up on me for a simple lock.

Goes for all better corp squads though. Lock up a WPK guy and you got their frig ball focus firing you moments later. Such teamwork should be the point of launching as a squad after all.

Sad part is that since cancel isn’t a default key bind, it wasn’t until I went after a keyboard revamp that I started doing it.  ESB had mostly gone to T4 and T5 at that point.

So i’m not the only one using a simple lock for tactical advantage, eh? Nice
