Enabling Status Updates.

Hello everyone,

I’m quite new to this forum, but I have been playing the game for a while,

I have been playing War Thunder for almost 2 years.

And I want to kinda take a break from it.

I have been using the War Thunder Forums for a good percentage of that time as well.

One thing I love about the War Thunder forums is the Status update feature.

It can bring the community closer together, Help people make friends, Make a shortcut for peoples opinions and feedback on something,

Or ask others if maybe they want to queue up in a game together.

I myself have created lots of IPB forums before, And enabling this feature is as easy as going to the AdminCP and enabling the Status Update hook.

I really feel adding this will make a much stronger community and forum

:salute:

eww… facebook… :beee:

We have status updates here, we use to have a bar on the right like atwitter, but people were posting completely stupid stuff into it so it got some what hidden, but still it works

go to “View new content button” -> “By content type” - members -> “By section” - profile feed -> time frame of your choice

P.S. Welcome

We used to have a small status update log on the main part of the forum. It was a great place to start some buzz about certain topics, or just spam the place.

It was good. I’m unsure why they got rid of it, though.

Censorship, they did not like what people write.Same goes for deleting posts.

that was not censorship, that was removing “stupidity from up in the face of users”, those updates were 9/10 facebook material garbage and the 1/10 was some thing useful, at that point.

true, but it was finally removed shortly after a lot of negative expressions (about the game at that time) mixed into the mostly harmless spam.

I guess nobody wanted to moderate that junk every day.
