Empire has no regen. Its shields are small, what’s the point of shield regen? Archon has shield tank and shield regen, invincible should have hull tank and hull regen.

Archon’s Shield tank is only part of its total tank, the biggest bulk of it still comes from Hull, that it can not regen just as Procyon or Invincible.
Regardless of what tanks what, the destroyers need a way to self-heal their hull. And no, regenerative coatings don’t count. It would be a month before a hull fully regenned with that thing.

The lack of hull repair is why so many destroyers opt for shield tanking, to avoid having the hull take damage unless you’re probably already screwed. Once shields fail, modules and router fails soon after, each one inflicting 10,000 per module lost.
It makes no sense to give empire energy router hull regen. Empire is damage focused and not hull focused.
The only way I see a selfhealing is that once all 10s or so 5k hull will be repaired automatically without having any damage received for 10s.(That such big ships don’t repair itself is a bit strange as even old ships had such options even if they were only a few)
Considering that Hull have a bigger volume, have better base resistances and a smaller hitbox…

I feel sorry for the enemy team when I enter team battle 4x4 and I’m only one on a destroyer. All those plasma arc/nukes/energy syphoning tactics are nice but you just can’t stop the mighty Invincible. Yea - give me hull regen and 3 predators orbiting as drones plz :00999: (for balance)

This is exactly it. After the shields go down, you’re screwed unless you can get out of the line of fire quickly. (And we all know that destroyers are known for their speed)
I’m gonna temp-join the NO-Church here for a minute… NO! The Empire Energy Router boosts damage by 20%, instead of 12%, for it’s unique bonus. If you want hull regen on a Destroyer, be sure to have an engie on your team, or bring along a ton of regenerative coatings…
Having a hull regen bonus for the energy router wouldn’t be fair. For example, my Invincible has 188k hull. Being able to regen that in terms of percent hull would mean my Destroyer would probably never die.

Wrong, it’s 5k per module lost. Also, shield tank presents a huge downside with destroyers. Interceptors (mainly covops) can get inside the shield of a destroyer and directly damage the hull. This is the reason I didn’t build an Archon. A good covops pilot can solo an Archon (if it isn’t built for max-tank) by doing this. I’ve done it several times myself, and seen it done quite a few times by others.
The Invincible’s hull tank isn’t at a disadvantage to the Archon’s shield tank, simply because of the sheer volume you can amass with it. The only major problem I have with the Invincible is the fact that the modules are placed with 1 on each side and 2 on the bottom, instead of 2 on top 2 on bottom. But you can overcome this flaw by putting modules in the right places.

Totally. Let me add - although it’s not very popular but my command fighter is equipped with “shield havoc” - did you guys forget about it?
