Schematics for the weapons and modules that can only be unlocked directly in the Ellydium Ship Tree, can also be used or equipped on all Standard and Premium ships - ‘Universal Blueprints’.
However, there are a few strings attached to this. You’re basically forced to rank up with a certain ship, to reach a specific ‘Universal Blueprint’.
I am providing a better alternative for many players, while still leaving alien blueprints untouched as they are now. Changes suggested here are meant only for the ‘Universal Blueprints’.
I am suggesting a few subtle changes to make access to them a bit easier. Again, this method does not circumvent already existing restrictions completely!
Rules:
Three restrictions are still mandatory to access those blueprints. I am suggesting a few subtle and little changes to make access to them a bit easier. You still buy/craft them in the Workshop.
Firstly, you need to build a basic Ellydium/Alien ship of Rank 5 to be able to access those universal blueprints.
Secondly, you need to match a specific faction - Empire, Federation, Jericho. (Example: The blueprint requires Federation - Vanguard/Armada Loyalty vouchers.)
Thirdly, you need to match the blueprint’s rank. (Example: Coolant distributor blueprint requires access to Rank 15. Waz’Dum blueprint would then require access to Rank 13 as shown in the Tree.)
Screenshot example: (Blueprint comes with 3 mandatory requirements - Alien ship of Rank 5 to unlock the ship’s ‘Evolution’ interface, the specific Faction - Loyalty vouchers, and a Rank.)
Exclusions:
Blueprints for the weapons and modules are untouched for Ellydium/Alien ships.
Blueprints for the weapons and modules are untouched for all Ellydium/Alien ships classes.
Recent examples known of ‘Universal Blueprints’ so far:
-
Waz’Dum blueprint (Waz’Got)
-
Tai’thaq blueprint (Tai’Kin)
-
Thar’kth cannon blueprint (Thar’Ga)
-
Inhibitor swarm blueprint (Thar’Ga)
-
Inhibitor crystal blueprint (Tai’Kin)
-
Coolant distributor blueprint (Waz’Got)
I strongly recommend that new, future Ellydium/Alien ships already have such a method to unlock all ‘Universal Blueprints’ for weapons and modules.
The end-goal is to make access to universal features more readily available to all users, not the opposite, or like it is now.
