Because entire stunlocking is without any effort. With these changes you need to either spend all energy to disable enemy attack without space for surv module or selectively disable some of subsystems but allowing some form of defence (running away or ramming). Stasis generator combined with disintegrator or doomsday is certain death if enemy has no proton wall or j2 implant.

This is the only suggestion that sounds interesting. Maybe it should disable the hud, but normal ship functionality exists otherwise. It’s still possible to play this way, though much more difficult. Should last no longer than 5-10 seconds.
