In battles where you have limited lives, like in Battle Royale, 4-Lives, or PvE, you should be able to leave the battle without having your ships trapped in battle.
And if for some reason you do get removed from battle incorrectly, there should be a PERMANENT REJOIN BATTLE BUTTON.
While it makes sense to have your ships locked in a battle – preventing cowards from abandoning matches, leaving their teammates behind as they themselves just go ahead and queue up for another match to ruin – we most definitely need a permanent ‘Rejoin Battle’ button, regardless of whether you ran like a weakling on purpose, game crashed or server disconnected you, one must always have the option to finish what has been started.

Especially since the new gamemode kicks you for inactivity after you die.
Knowing how this game has progressed, with the “this is a low priority issue” bs: as long as they are making money I doubt they care.
