It’s not half of the year. And you don’t have to own all those new 3 ships to play SC. Only if you wish. And you can obtain them by combining founded parts with parts from purchased packs also.

 

 

What if I am the person, who is a Collector? What, if I want all of them?

 

Of course, I could just grind or buy them, but with the Store system like it is, it’s basically the lottery and the gambling system in one package, if not worse.

I would have to spend 3-4 times as much of fixed GS amount for the ship parts alone, than I would, if I would just get Brokk (16350 GS).

Of course, such an option it’s no longer there and yet it the description you can still read that you can obtain the ship for Galactic Standards.

 

To put it simply: “I won’t buy a single ship pack or bundle with the current system as it is now”.

 

 

Also, I am under my own assumption, that even if I grind and forfeit, get disconnected, or lose a battle, my loot spot (rare resource or ship part) is lost, REGARDLESS if it’s supposed to be dropped.

when you have luck you can get the Brokk for 3462 GS atm, and when you don’t have luck you can spent easily up to 30k and more (66k) for the brokk (when I look at the rate I get Brokk parts out of the container it should be 23.080GS at average)

actually if you are not lucky you can get brokk for 60k

My long term goal is to own all ships, but I can’t pursue that goal until major changes are made to the monetisation model.

You got me here. 1200 parts in total. With DLC and full premium:

With 10 consecutive wins per day that giving you 6 parts on average (current drop rate for playing only PvE games, PvP drops less) that’s only 200 days. So half a year and 18 days (and 2000 battles)

With 13 consecutive wins per day, with 7 parts per day on average (current drop rate for playing only PvE games, PvP drops less)  that’s 170 days, so a little under half a year (and 2230 games)

With 18 consecutive wins per day, with 8 parts per day on average (current drop rate for playing only PvE games, PvP drops less)  that’s 150 days, so five months (and 2700 games)

 

Without DLC and premium license:

With 10 consecutive wins per day that giving you a little over 3 parts on average (current drop rate for playing only PvE games, PvP drops less) that’s only 375 days. So a year +  10 days (and 3750 games)

With 15 consecutive wins per day, with 4 parts per day on average (current drop rate for playing only PvE games, PvP drops less)  that’s 300 days, so a little under 10 months (and 3900 games)

With 18 consecutive wins per day, with 5 parts per day on average (current drop rate for playing only PvE games, PvP drops less)  that’s 240 days, so 8 months (and 4320 games)

 

Regarding possession of ships: as there are no leagues, corps are meaningless and PvP is boring (unless one of you guys is doing an event with 2 big squads) for me the achievement is to have all ships. 

 

You got much more money from me than any other game developer, I have all DLCs (some of them were purchased twice), I have few other accounts, on one of them I put another few hundred euro. I have all normal premium ships, my GS are exchanged from real money from my own pocket. And after few years of this you are saying “you can always give us more money”. Well I did. I spent  over 13000 GS (that’s around 30 Euro) on those bundles to get my share in calculating the drop rate of Brokk parts. Well, that covered less than 1/3rd of the total parts. And no, I wasn’t unlucky. So I spent equivalent of Mauler (same rank) in your shop. 

I don’t have issue with supporting small development teams. I don’t have issue with spending money on something I like. I have an issue with spending money on gambling and on product that I am not happy with. 

I know, that your income is based on gambling system (ingame “store”), so I leave it as it is. But if you really want more money from me, make this game interesting. I am not paying to wake up every morning, assemble a team and do 18-20 Fire Support missions to get one of the most OP healers in the game (which will be nerfed as soon as more people will get their hands on it). I am not paying to listen “you can always buy it” (for amount of money I spent on the bike for my kid). I am paying to have fun. As this game is MMO, I am paying for team play. Which is mostly leagues. Because there is no dreads in T5. We had 2 league games in last 2 weeks, waiting for the whole league sessions. I leveled my character in Fallout 4 to 135 level waiting for games in SC. So maybe your team will wake up, and instead of getting those awesome ideas of more grind for OP ships you will do something to improve this game as it is? Add a counter for teams in queue in Leagues, made them available around the clock, put a number of squads in PVP window, link Igromania videos to the ingame help page (or maybe even do the ingame player for them - they are awesome). That kind of stuff. Polish this game, it has some great ideas, but those have rough edges. Finish what’s already in the game then move to new concepts.

Here in the West we have saying “vote with your wallet”. We voted for you. I voted for this game. Was I mistaken? From what I see in the last months, you are not interested in player retention. It looks like actually veterans are just  a nuisance for you and we should be gone to be replaced by new, inexperienced players that will leave few Euros on your account before they will become veterans and leave as well.

I don’t have license/dlcs, but my PvE part droprate (In Fire Support, with 4 fully synergized rank 10 ships) is almost 70-80%.

In the last month I played sporadically, I was pretty busy. But I still got 85 stingray parts.

 

 

Anyway, the devs have to do something to keep the game alive. And don’t say to me that “the game is alive because we constantly have 1000 players online” or anything like that, because most of the veteran players, the ones that actually support the game with GS purchases, that invite their friends to play the game, and that give feedback on the game improvements, are going away.

The last sentence is the key here. There is a thread of how the probability drops with each consecutive game played in the day. If you are playing sporadically (like up to 5 games in one day) the probability you will get parts is much higher (per game) than if you would play 20 games on that day. Highest probability would be if you would play only 1 game, just after logging in. If you could take a look at this graph [Link to drop chance per game](< base_url >/index.php?/topic/30320-ship-part-drop-rate-thread/page-4#entry364357), you will see that probability for first 4 games is capped, because I am getting part from each of those games. What I wrote above is the average drop from around 700 games. So yes, 3 parts from first few games without DLC and prem are possible. If you want anything more, fourth part can drop in any game from number 4 to 15. So yes, minimum number of games to get all those ships is 1200 if you are lucky and if you are playing only one PvE per day. Then in just little over 3 years, you will get all 3 ships. I have a person in my team that doesn’t have dlc and prem, so we have an accurate drops from  him, which are fit to that graph as well. He couldn’t get more than 5 parts in one day even playing over 20 games, but his first 4 games of the day were like: 0 1 0 1, 1 0 1 1, 0 0 0 1, just to show few examples (here you see 6 parts from 12 games played in 3 days, so average drop is 50%), but then it was something like this:  0 1 0 1 0 0 0 1 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 (3 parts from 15 games, 20%).
