Wait, does that means that mk2 and mk4 now are upgraded by contracts?
Yep, all upgrades can be done only with loyalty vouchers

What? And what?
1st ‘What’: You keep loyalty accumulation?! Aww, that’s nice of you. We won’t have to worry about module upgrades all the time and monitor progress battle after battle. + ∞
2nd ‘What’: So, no more iridium for upgrades either? How about GS upgrade? Will there be less upgrade levels too? Or the mk1-5 system stays as is? That voucher cost reduction gotta be a serious one then. Now I wonder what are we going to use iridium for? Will it be only a corp stuff upgrade currency?
I don’t know what to think of these changes. It’s a serious economy rework for sure. I can see it work. At least we get a system with reduced number of currencies.

I guess for the GS option, it’ll be an instant level-up depending on the remaining voucher needed, or a loyalty bundle.
It’s probably be a bit longer to get an mk4 item I guess. Because the time we took to get credit for mk2 was nearly enough to get the loyalty for the mk3. We’ll see. But it sounds much better this way then what was announced yesterday.
Don’t hope/hype/enjoy this until the patch/change arrive.
I will collect enough pitchforks for it until then…

Dont forget the Harambe cardboard cutouts.
We’ll get a new faction and it’s gonna be green? Is it going to be Irish green, green as in nature conscious, or alien green?
If it’ll be the latter then Fox will finally have his Hunter, and I’ll build a Predator

And here we get to the point why all this is “necessary”. With the current system anyone could plan ahead, save voucher for modules, and when one decides to move to the next ranks there is enough for upgrading them to mk3 and mk4 and that way have more chance against higher rank and better equipped players. With the new system I see three options: We can buy higher rank modules and within a certain rank range we can upgrade them on lower rank ships. Or, we grind vouchers on higher rank ships, on those that the module is bought for, and face whoever MM gives us. And the third option, after the patch the only one for faster progress, is to skip mk 3 with GS. And as I see, that is the goal here… partly. Or at least it may, very conveniently, drive players to buy more module upgrades with GS.
LOL now u got a discovery medal, was aways because of that, anything about mk2 to mk3 was and will ever be, cause of microtransactions.
Yep, all upgrades can be done only with loyalty vouchers
Love it!
What about MK5?

CinnamonFake told us that we won’t need to change hangar, so everything you said here is wrong.
While I did remember incorrectly about the hanger part, the rest still holds, even with the new alterations, as the proposed system still sounds slower, and to be of more hassle than what we have now, which was the heart of the complaint. Thing is with our item upgrading being spread over multiple currencies, and certain drops (upgrade kits) that we can expect to gain during regular play, it’s just not much of a big deal to rank up a bunch of new items when you’ve been playing for some time, and have a lot banked up. When all items are leveled just from the one collective type of currency, it puts more onerous on that one collective type, so depending on the costs, we could find ourselves having to grind for loyalty more again.
Also it has been said that items would be leveled from any loyalty type, that means they may not be phasing any of the types we have now out, so we could still have six types. It also could mean that when leveling an item, an item could have more of a preference to certain types of loyalty, so while we could use any type, some could provide more item XP than others for given items. For instance, we want to level a shield item that uses a Jericho loyalty now, that specific loyalty type could still give the most item XP per loyalty later, while an Empire loyalty could provide less item XP per loyalty, as they tend to focus on hulls, not shields.
Aside from what will happen with our uses for credits, and iridium moving forward after this change, what will happen with our upgrade kits? It sounds like we may be leveling our items, in the same basic way as we level our ships, minus the need to directly use them, with loyalty vouchers becoming equivalent to ship synergy. With the whole system possibly changing, will upgrade kits still have a place, or will they become obsolete, and removed? Then as others asked, what about mark V upgrades, will those be changed in any way?
Being able to still bank our loyalty was an appreciated change, so thanks for that. We still will need to see how everything pans out before getting too excited, or worried about the whole change. Also I’d imagine there will be some adjustment patches after it goes live, and everyone has had time to see how it works.

Im sure devs have a plan for that ”)
Probably we can do the missions in other game modes rather than PvP,that would be great, some diversity can be useful from time to time, besides, grinding in a few games should be better than gathering 500k vouchers(or more) for a R14 DD weapon.

Pilots can expect the most interesting stuff by the New Year celebrations. A new major addition to Star Conflict will forever change the universe, and will bring a lot of fresh emotions to a familiar space mercenary life. You will be able to try on green colours very soon.
so if it isn’t an alien ship… is it a Revenant ship? or set of ships? because, I totally called that a long time ago

I would hope so, I was just hoping maybe CinnamonFake would come around, and answer the question.

Mark V upgrades will be in the workshop as they were. It the special one, and not all the modules have Mark V yet.

I have only one ask: Will the autumn update come before September ends? Or will it arrive in mid/end of October or even only at start of November?
In this blog I was really hoping there would be a portion for expansion for NA Server additions / improvements. In June 27th, there was a statement made from Cinnomonfake which stated
[Posted June 27](< base_url >/index.php?/topic/30814-na-server-distro-improvement/&do=findComment&comment=369699) · [Report post](< base_url >/index.php?/topic/30814-na-server-distro-improvement/&do=reportComment&comment=369699 “Report this content”)
We’re now gathering information about NA player base to work further under it’s development. Situation with NA server may change soon)
Which can be found in a post that was directly related to issues surrounding servers used for PVP in NA times and suggestions to reduce cost and improve your infrastructure foot print in NA.
What I am asking is:
Will there be a improvement for NA PVP server selection / epansion of server foot print in NA.? I still receive and can prove a 85-90% server assignment to EU / RU servers while queing in NA time zones against all NA players.
