That even in EU primetime is not that easy to get games when mono’s missions are on cooldown. The whole thing scares away random teams. That’s the whole true, and you from US where playerbase is lower, suffer from this much more then us.
So instead of this flood: any solutions from you guys?

Then stop complaining about your EU playerbase, your struggles aren’t as bad yet you complain more about it than US players.
Mostly I think that the main problem with leagues is the restrictiveness of it all. Its the same game mode over and over meaning that ship selection becomes almost predetermined in strategy for many of the ‘top’ teams.
for me, it is no replacement for good pvps, and i regard tournaments still as more test of team spirit, as “good league play” includes to play dirty, most games are cheap, and i had maybe 2 of them i found really interesting.
Exactly and ill bet those good games where when the enemy team tried to recon rush, team battle, play for time and so on. The full range of choices available rather than a preset loadout as everyone knows what type of game mode we are going to have.
Also, it’s funny to see my team in 6th place even though we have only played 2 games this season. More people just need to play in general.
We are inactive since 2 weeks and still in the 8th place with 128 games.
Its my belief that the low activity is a symptom of this. During the initial introduction of league I had temp joined both randomly made teams and one of the ‘top’ teams. I joined not to abuse the system but simply to get a game because of restrictiveness in teams availability to play. The difference is startling. The random guys will just take what they are best with and MM in high population times decides they get put up against another fairly random team doing the same. Which was awesome. Much more dynamic and exciting in terms of gameplay 90% of the time. As for the guys on ‘top’ it was the same stuff over and over and each teams availability to counter our/their nonsense.

Random teams have zero chance in the current league system even against whomever is top of the n00b pile in this proposed change. I’m sure we all remember playing v guys who were all in another corp, no doubt discussed beforehand about what they gonna do, planned, schemed and built there way to facing a team who wiped the floor with them as we were the only opponent in the q at the time. I don’t find that particularly good source of “Intense, dynamic fights, true excitement”. Just a source of monocrystals.
Since the leagues are restricted by team size, selection and availability. Game mode, times, seasons and now a separation of ‘skill’. It makes sense for me that the league to now encompass all game modes rather than just the single mode of capture the beacon. I do like ctb but knowing it beforehand it brings the cheese and the ship type pilots (2recon 1 covops 1ecm), the type of people everyone hated to see in the old sector conquest system that the leagues seem to be based around. If its truly a question of team skill and capability within the game then force these ‘pros’ to play every pvp game mode to earn their stripes rather than the current system of do these limited group of things and oh someone have a counter for ‘that thing’.
