Developer Blog from July 6: A Look to the Future

If you guys turn this game into a hero shooter I’ll be uninstalling faster than a lightning bolt. Add new modules, not new exclusive modules…  does the lead dev plays his own game? or is he just a CEO with his mind on his money and his money on his mind?

Wut? Having each ship unique will allow a much more interesting gameplay, and technically each ship is already unique due to the fact each player have he’s own build

Guys, where do i find Waz’got for today’s quest? A searched a lot of systems, couldn’t find it

From where take activators for Jeryho and Empire destroyer?

Making ships uniqe like in a “hero shooter” seems very cool to me dont know your problem

As long as unique modules arent too grindy i look forward to it

That’s the point, Endeav. module stacking reduced the viable builds and exclusive modules will reduce it even further.

Creating a stronger meta through the ship bonuses would be much more interesting than a couple modules. For example, we could sub-divide engineers into three specializations: hull, shields and mobility (energy regen and warpgates), it would open a whole new plethora of builds - which I believe, is the main thing of this game, right?

That’s just my opinion anyway, I don’t like gated content, I think it hurts the game.

I think that we have a hell of a lot of modules as it is and it can get tedious cleaning up in the warehouse and keeping up with all of it. They are trying a new thing with more = more and you have to either spend tons of iridium and hope you get a part you want or spend tons of GS and hope you get a part you want.

I think making the ships more unique is a great thing and might make balance less nonexistent. But, they need to figure out a better way to sort stuff in the warehouse.

Another thing is the blueprints. I have to go through each and every module in the workshop, that’s not unlocked, to see if I have the bp for it because I have a lot of bp’s and its faster to do that instead of go through all the bp’s switching between windows. Why not sort to the bottom or a checkbox or something to show only modules that you have a bp for?

I agree. Reworked contract system is now also much slower than it used to be.

And they promised us, how it will be much more convenient. Well, for them, that is!

About the warehouse and the trading section. Just sort it out alphabetically with the rarity of the items.

I think we need both: More generic modules AND more exclusive modules.

When i was starting i tought all ships from the same branch, like, all jericho guards would have the same playstyle, but just with different stats, im glad i was wrong. Although

they had the same special module i could feel clearly how flexible the guards and all other roles were, this is good and all but we still need some exclusive stuff for ships for many causes, like as you said, you get it as you want really fast and not spending a lot of extra resources after the purchase.

Has science gone too far?

But yeah, specific modules for specific ships can be great, if most of the things will be common then some ships will be just as useless as they used to be, each ship should be special in its own way.

if we got a pirate destroyer, it would be cool if its spec-mod would immobilize the destroyer for 1 second before replenishing its module cooldowns, tell me what you think of this “rearm” module

Imagine not only the specs and modules in a pirate way - imagine a cool pirate-look - not so neat and shiny nor like kiddy animal-ships in space (i mean, what do we expect from the coming ellx destroyer in regard to its look ? A big whale in space off cause (Irony)). P.S.: bigger than sword fish and little fish-saurian with teeth - lol !

Someone said whale in space?

Whatever they introduce i think its safe to presume that they will take it step by step now seeing the not so great intros of the last few ships.

Just remove squad requirements/restrictions. I tried to play with friends of 3 and 4 people in T5 PvP and we didn’t get a single match in an hour! Give me a break.

NASA don’t even squad and they are all on the same side. First fix this.

I would like to know how they do that. Its so unfair. I will come in and it be one Nasa guy on opposing team. As more feeds in, more Nasa guys feed in, but they all end up on one side. before you know it its 6 Nasa on one side and bunch of randoms on the other.

I am sure having devs in their pockets help them manipulate matchmaker. I would like to know the exploit they are using to get al on the same side. I know it aint squading because they feed in one at a time.

This so called Exploit called “statistics” because there are so many players with a tag [NASA] in the queue, there is always a chance of MM matching some of them on the same side since MM does not look into corp tag of random solo players.

Yea sure… I recall you speeling some bs about MM wont put members of the same corp against each other, but thats also bs. Just more NASA Favortism.

Next time try reading the full post because I said clearly that full SQUADS of the same corp would not be put against each other, not solo players.

Feel free to make 2x full squads with your buddies, of the same corporation and go into Q, then come back and tell us how many games you faced each other.

I could not hit the f12 key fast enough but these guys came in one by one. Even one of your own on the team i was on rage quit when seeing the 3 devs pets, before the 4th one showed up.

Recently we formed up 2 squads and we were matched up against each other. Your claim of 2 quads of the same corp cant play against each other is bull. I would expect nothing less from one of the meanest people in star conflict.

If you notice MrJinn[NASA] just sits back at the spawn line, because he knows the match is lost. After my last screen shot I rage quit as well. I actually did not return to my PC for the remainder of the day because of matches like this. I went for a Bike ride instead.
