Developer Blog entry from October, 10th. Update 0.9.8.

Problem was that a lot of us were having it at the time.

I was lagging so badly it wasn’t even possible to play. Now it is gone in 99% of the matches(Sometimes on russian servers packet loss starts happening, but that has become quite rare)

Probably the lower player numbers now? Dunno, haven’t played in weeks…

Indeed Luckyo, if you’re part of a tiny minority (not having lag issues) better stop blaming others that do have those issues.

And your little WoW story is still just a bug in WoW. If you don’t understand why then don’t bother.

Not seeing the massive amount of complaints about your issue. In fact, I’m not seeing any complaints about it other than you. Rest are complaining about packet loss and network lag. That’s not your case as your video clearly shows.

And my “WoW story” was a bad implementation of hardware audio drivers, which was fixed in the next version of audio drivers by hardware vendor. And as that vendor was creative, it did the fixing after a few months, as it is typical for that particular vendor. Excellent audio hardware, utterly terrible driver support for older cards. Blizzard implemented everything correctly according to microsoft spec, but creative didn’t include proper support in its drivers on XP. Calling it a “WoW bug” is like calling a drunk driver an “asphalt quality issue”.

But I suppose I’ll stop casting pearls before the swine. It does seem rather pointless, as you don’t appear to be interested in fixing your issue as much as complaining about it.

Complaining? O Rly? I made one statement about lag in my post and in response you go all out insulting as usual and call me and others having lag dumbass users and swine. I’m not here to solve your personality issues and certainly not to take anything you say serious in any way, so by all means you are welcome to stop saying it.

Please keep personal arguments out of this - and keep it civil.

FIX THE LAAAAAAAG!!

Why are you complaining about something that, as you’ve said, you have not experienced for weeks, you are the one with most complains about lag, and there was Kine from Malaysia ← poor guy (servers wise) in past weeks, while you weren’t even playing

Look at your signature?

There are hardly 1-2 complains on forums about Lag, majority enjoys lag free, as Funky said, 99% of the times game. Did you check your side? Did you trouble shoot to 100% say that it is not your or your ISP problem?

Anyway, back on topic. Anyone here going to mass buy all mk3 stuff they can before the patch?

It would seem to make sense, pretty much all other economy changes made grinding worse.

The obvious question is if we should buy mk2s as well, as they will probably go up in price, and when patch comes upgrade them to mk3 with all the overflowing loyalty from one we already have.

If it’s good enough for the bible, it’s good enough for the forums.

P.P.S. That signature…

I am probably will get couple prem weapons to speed up synergy progress for the future, considering no synergy cap pership combined with prem weapon future bonus it might be worth it, haven’t decided on tier yet. And I am gonna hoard mk3s most likely as well

The only thing that is bothering me atm is that I have hundreds of military items all over tiers (haven’t sold a single one yet) and i am trying to debate myself are they going to reduce selling price for those or will they stay the same value ? gonna roll some dices

I would like you to back up your story on that it is a Luckyo that is in minority and have no lag, while i do have a 150 ping to russian server, it is still comfortably playable for most part. pretty much everyone i play with in NASA in my times (all of them are NA based) have exactly the same experience as me, about 150 ping to russian servers, still playable. when we hit NA servers it flows smooth as babies xxxx.

I’m comfortable with flying interceptors on Russian servers with 150-180 ping times.  It’s not ideal of course, but I’m generally ok with it.  Sometimes I get the lag issues Snib had shown, even this week.  It’s not fully solved.  It’s not as severe as Snib’s issues, and I haven’t done full investigation of the issue, i.e. ping times, packet loss, traceroutes, etc.  I think the 0.9.4 patch made some things worse, but 0.9.5 reverted some of that.

I’m more into thinking if I should buy mk2 mods now for upgrading - because they will likely be bumped up in price (as you’ll have to buy mk1 with credits and then pay for upgrade with credits to mk2, and then pay with loyalty for upgrade to mk3).

Okay, indirectly that also answered my question about “story” so maybe I need to get myself a lucky golden collision compensator in T4, to make the farm faster, and get closer to others.

The lags which affected whole games have become much less of a problem lately. I still bet it was server side. Since you could sometimes read mass hysteria in global about laggy matches however back then, I hardly believe it was just a couple of players.

Speaking about Battlefield 4 Snib, above 20ms ping, that netcode wobbles no matter how much FPS you have, and at least the Frankfurt servers, which give me good ping, sometimes can’t handle the player numbers either. So consider yourself lucky there.

In connection with the information above, the trophy system is also going to change. Now instead of a module, players will be looking for upgrade kits — a Mk. 2 kit is automatically sent to the warehouse, and a Mk. 4 set can be disassembled into artifacts, if it does not suit you.

So in PvE, does that mean that the purple loot circle will give you a random Mk 2 kit? Also, how do they work? Are the kits for specific weapons and modules, or can you use them with whatever weapon/module you want? I think its a very interested idea and Im eager to see how it turns out.

All these changes were definitely worth a 2 week wait

In addition to improving the HUD, we have also revised the implant system. Now all three new implants will be available to players when they reach a new rank, of course, our pilots will be able to install only one of those three.

Ok, so if i reach rank10 with Jericho i will be able to use rank10 implants of all three factions? Thanks for making my decided progress in all three obsolete…

still worth levelling for all ships, tbh its probably to try and encourage more people to rush to t4/5

More than they already are?..

If they want more people in T5, they should lower ship costs in all tiers(Remove mk1 fittings, the proposed fittings are terrible, they are as bad/worse than the fits the DiNet guys used…) and possibly reduce repair costs.

I don’t see how this system will get more people in T5…

They’re not looking to get more people into T5 I think. That’s supposed to be “corporate warfare tier”.

They do want more people in T4 it seems with recent matchmaking changes though, and recent changes will likely address that. Though I do agree that current ship grind is not a good way to get people to progress. But it will likely cure the “I’ll keep playing T2/T3 because I don’t have blues” problem.

Currently i level 3 ships from 3 different factions. To get all implants available. Now i wouldnt have to. I will continue, because i find all 3 fun, but you see the possibility, right?

Reasonable point. Sig removed for the time being despite doubts that the situation changed - I stopped playing after Kine left, I know Kipps is still using my fix the lag sig and just earlier in this thread another one of your corp mates complained as well (although ping was never exactly my problem):

Why the hell I lag so much? Even on my own server on teamfights I have an insane ping.

Pretty sure we’re actually looking at an income reduction next patch because of lack of module drops and I doubt the upgrade kits will sell for the same price since they are not stand-alone modules (if they can be sold at all?).

They’ll be able to sell them.  Antibus stated you could to convert the upgrade kit to artifacts.  I don’t know what would happen is you sold an Mk.IV module.  It might be a way to turn artifacts into credits, but now that artifacts are usable outside of corps there shouldn’t be a need.

They’ll be able to sell them.  Antibus stated you could to convert the upgrade kit to artifacts.

Only the Mk.4 kit can be converted. Most looted kits will be Mk.2 which can be sold (which you will do 100% of the time, since you’d be mad not to upgrade modules via credits as soon as you buy them because now you’ll need to upgrade every step of the chain anyway. In other words, looting Mk.2 kits will be another useless timesink, the should just award the credits directly…).

What we do not know is the price they sell for, but since the new Mk.II will be right between Mk.1 and Mk.3 and thus weaker than the old Military I suppose it will also be cheaper, and since the kit is not the entire module because you had to buy the Mk.1 first, I doubt it will sell for as much.

Current Mk.II is being removed and military being renamed to Mk.II.  We’re not sure what will happen with current Mk.II.  They’ll probably be upgraded to new Mk.II.
