Under this system, the rich Corps are going to get even richer, and it’s going to be even harder for everyone else to catch up (you need T5 Purple to compete, but you can’t earn T5 purple without cash, iridium and GS. The best ways to earn that are to control Sectors, which you can’t do because circular argument). Do you have any comment on this?
Some rich corps can not get any richer they are mostly at the cap already, they will be able to max teir side ships but their core ships are already at the limit, there is no endless progression in “richness” that gap will only get smaller and smaller with time. And every Faction has its Good and not so good corps, assumption that every single game will consist of only tops is wrong.

I’ve just realised something… I know how they plan to monetise the game now, and why they insist on allowing T2 ships into what is supposed to be “end game” content.
Sector Conquest is going to be the only way to earn Loyalty.
Think about it. The Devs believe that when the Rank 5 shows up with his Mk I / II gear and tries to fly in Sector Conquest, he’s going to get roflstomped by Purple T5 ships. We all know this. However, the Devs think that player will then say “Okay, I am too weak to earn Mk III modules - I’ll just buy them with Gold Standards!”
Pop quiz, boys and girls; if you were a new player to this game who tried Sector Conquest for the first time and got butchered by ships ten ranks higher than yours, would you consider dropping money on it? will some dev adress this?!?!
The entire layout smacks of monetisation. Even if you are a skilled player who can beat the Deathsquads, you can’t earn Loyalty with four of the six factions. That’s a lot of modules you will have to acquire via Gold Standards. Naturally, said Deathsquads don’t care about that - they never had to work for their stuff and they have full Purple already. For them, this update is a chance to increase their kills to deaths ratio and crow about how much better they are than people flying ships two tiers below them.
This is going to kill the game faster than I thought. Pretty much everyone who isn’t already at T4 or higher is going to write this game off as Pay to Win and walk away in disgust.

If you are suggesting that Battle PvP becomes a Fixed Tier mode, I could get behind that. The problem is that you always argued Fixed Tiers were “necesssary” to create a balanced game, so the only one that can be fixed is Sector Conquest…

I dont understand this “hardcore players” concept.
If ur talking about the Devs and super testers certainly they have alot more emotion, time and passion for the game then me.
If ur talking about players in corperations thats not true either.
Its not like this is the only game in existance, and we have to balance gaming with real life, unless ur real life is gaming on star conflict.
Ive spent 30 dollars off everycheck on synergy transfers and reserch porbes, but i dont think that makes me a hard core gamer. Or does it.

Some longer time ago corps asked for the chance to have their battles without any random players and this it a step towards corporation content.

As resi said, the playerbase is incredibly small for that to work… You get 2k EU prime and 800 in US prime… There is no way to make that balanced. The current setting of “FFA” on SecCon is probably the worst, considering no one wants Mixed Tiers… Having a separate matchmaker for T3, 4 and 5 is the best solution for that. Separate rewards for each Tier is also good. More work, but hey, happy pilots and happy community, which was what we asked for in BOTH polls. Keep the regular PvP mode as it is now, but don’t mess up the SecCon like this…

I understand you and all the responsabilities that come with your position, but we all know very well that no matter the timezone we play, there will be always at least two full 4 man squads with T5 R15 full purple ships ready to kill you in Sector Conquest. That’s what I’m talking about, there won’t be any chance to win if you don’t make your own squad like that, not the slightest, and that will bring unbalance, ragequit, hate, flame, and if the games goes out of beta, gaming websites will destroy the game with their reviews. Not to mention the continuos lose of player base. We already have one of the smallest MMO communities out there, our Steam groups is beated by games that ain’t nowhere close in terms of quality, and the course of action is to change this, not to deepen it.

This is a good solution for T2/3, but until the Dreadnoughts are added there is no encouragement for pilots to fly T5 and if they get added in the future there will be complains that only T4 and 5 corps can build Dreadnoughts.

That’s why we are monitoring the situation and we want to find a solution for all without making an “almost equal game mode”.
Sector Conquest is mainly designed for Corps and endgame players so we should try to find a solution towards this.
You are getting complaints NOW! Stop trying to treat the symptoms and address the problems!
Nobody wants to fly T5 because it’s too expensive, it takes too long to get there, and ESB have full purple death squads. The solution is NOT to force those deathsquads on to T3 pilots!
I get that people want end game content, but THEY need to understand two things: they are a minority, and they are driving people away from T5. If you cater to them, you will almost certainly hurt the rest of your player base.
Besides which, this is a Beta. It doesn’t matter if you don’t have Dreadnoughts now; build the system assuming they will be here later!
If you get people engaged with the game and let them fly the way they want to fly (hint: fixed tiers) then people will start to move up the ship tree again. It won’t happen overnight, but it will happen. Especially if T4 and T5 battles have much higher potential rewards than T3.
Again: build Conquest so T3 can take part WITHOUT being farmed by T5 purple squads, but make it so only T5 can get the best rewards. Carrots, not sticks. Get them invested at T3, and they are more likely to want to stick with it and progress. Scare them off, like you plan to, and they won’t come back.
