At the moment four well-played pilots are quite the force in every match, and reducing it to three will make a change.

We will further monitor the situation of course.

You reduced squad effectiveness by 25% on matches that are solely 4v4. Which, wouldn’t you know it, solely happens in T4. How about fixing the major issues before doing such silly things?

In 0.9 u just turn the game into a more team based challeng… and now u reduce teams mebers allowed? 

 

This is just RIDICOLOUS… 

 

There is a big iusse in matchamking …yes… but this isn’t the way to solve it.

 

2 different quques was the solution… one for randoms (or maybe for team till 2 players if u prefear) … and a separate one 3+ for full teams.

 

This last one was longer, indeed, but was the “hardcore” game type too.

In conclusion, we’ll tell you about squads. As you know, there’s a difficult situation with the balance of power between the players who come into battle alone and going into battle in a squad. Now, the situation is that the players who are in battle against squads find it extremely hard to beat the squads.

I kinda see where they are coming from, but i personally believe that problems like these have to fixd from matchmaking standpoint, unfortunately current player base is too small to fix it on matchmaking side, player base has to be xx times bigger for proper matchmaking to work :(, i can see it only as temporal solution, which isn’t going to fix much overall. Creating more negativity in t1-3 and fixing almost nothing in T3+. There will be more squads over all now, there will be so much more of same corp players been on both sides during the match.

Just remember the concept of the PVP game spiral.  The worst players get tired of getting stomped repeatedly and quit.  Then the 2nd worst players become the worst players.  Now they get stomped repeatedly and quit.  Then the 3rd worst players…(etc…etc…) until only the hardest core are left standing.

 

The PVP spiral is bad for business and its bad for the players of the game.  It needs to be avoided.

 

Limiting the impact large groups of players have on the public is a step to reduce the effects of the pvp spiral.  If we had more players, there could be better matchmaking and “super coordinated death squads” could face each other.  Since we dont, there are only two choices.  Continue allowing the S.C.D.S. to rape everything it sees, or try to mitigate their impact.

 

At the present time, mitigating their impact sounds like a good plan.

I wonder if anyone here is even considering T1-T2

It takes a pretty long time to get up to those rank 10 ships for people with jobs/lives/other games/etc.

I’d be interested in seeing hard numbers for the number of players at each tier in a day so we know who they’re really balancing for

I find it unlikely that there are more players at T4-5 than T1-2, and as someone stated earlier if people aren’t sticking around to get to T3 onwards maybe that’s a problem that needs addressing, and none of these proposed changes are fixing that

hmm so now its a 3 player mmo, thats sounds sad. still no retickle options, still no perminant paint jobs…still a sucky selection of weps. this is getting worse pach by pach. started to play a bit of marvelheros to try and forget how lame this game has become. still came to see the dev news… still the same bs, you dont lisen at all and make it more and more like your sister game warthunder…

Idea, they could make a mechanic that will say that Squads of the same Corp CANNOT face each other?

It has been translated a bit… frivolously. We are not planning to dramatically change the new system - at the moment it needs some tweaks and they will be carefully implemented.

What you need to understand, is that there is a roadmap, which is still the main developement document, we do have small detours from time to time to make something really important, but we are implementing what our players ask for, though it takes time. There has been quite a lot of accusations that the game ‘will never be released’ and ‘always stay in beta’ in caps or in bold or in many other kinds of ways. Yet, what you are sometimes asking for would mean directly that - if we concentrate only on things one or another player (sometimes just one) wants, we would stuck in a limbo of doing and redoing the game. We are listening to you, but you must understand that for serious changes serious work should be done, and this kind of work cannot be done momentarily.

It has begun at 7.9 with contract changes, since then it has been a downhill road for progression rate.

In some aspects they weren’t but in some aspects they were. Mostly it depends on the point of view.

Yet, this should be noted - we have updated the tutorial system not so long ago (and we will continue improving it), we added some new contracts that are not only interesting but also help to learn of the game’s aspects, we have continued our work on the camera, we have added a custom battle mode, and improved customisation via adding paints, we have reduced the repair prices and introduced the T5… as you can see quite a few things were done, yes, some of them need to be balanced or still in work, but we are moving forward and in this process your feedback is very important. But once again - some of the things cannot be done momentarily.

I’d be interested to read what the developers consider as priority tweaks needed
