LOL yes, there is always that and actually that is a valid point minus the potential of breaking PvP even more. My thoughts are that its not and never really was the ships as much as it is the players. I can get on sometimes during EU hours or even Russian hours and its like nub city but during NA hours its tough as ballz.

How long can one ship be OP? Fixed and broken again. Broken again only because everyone will pay to get r14 dessies. You really think destroyers are ok? Come 1vs1 with me with guard!
Dessie is a must have during nab hours in PVE Co-Op
I think fighters and interceptors don’t have weapons adjusted to the existence of destroyers, all we see in recent times are weapons for Frigates (and I mean “classic” common ships) and nothing for Interceptors and Fighters. (again no exclusive ellydium stuff)
The weapons that have a potential to be great vs Destroyers are Phase suppressor, Singularity canon, Phaser with slow charge and Kinetic supercharger on ECMs, that is it but all of those weapons struggle with the same issue - overheat cycles - which reduces their overall DPM, which is so important vs Destroyers to continuously pressure them with dmg. And when you try to accommodate those with things like Shared coolers and cooled ammo you ended up with gimmick flying performance.
I think Destroyers, in general, are about ok, it is just the game need a bit better counter arguments

When you have r11 and r14 destro - they are ok
If you flying standard ships - you see how OP are they, play few PvP matches using standard ship and attack destroyers. Waiting for your feedback.

i love it when someone comes with a custom match 1v1 example or a survival example. in survival every ship dies fast, the only reason why dessies are weaker there is because they are huge
1.5x is not enough for the risk you have imho. you barely notice it, and most likely, the dessie wins, as it has enough buttons to instapop you
3x was probably a bit too easy for the broken gun builds, even if it felt fine with most standard weaponry, as chances to get that close in a “working team” were pretty slim in a harder match, but the average destro was easy to kill. and also, the 3x damage was in times where we had overdamaging thargoids, so all those who fear the 3x should remember, the other stuff got nerfed too - at least a bit.
imho 2x - so 200% - would be fine and ideal, with crits adding up instead of multiplying again (so that a crit with e.g. +75% damage results in 275% instead of 350%)

So instead of 10 sec to kill a dessy in a stingray it will be a one hit one kill.

It’s an old example when Thar’ga is broke, can deal 100k dmg to dessie even outside survival. Right now Tai’kin is still OPAF and can 1vs1 any destroyer piloted by any player without dying. Get hit by one of this and you take x2 dmg instead of x1.5 within 750m, and take x1.356 dmg no matter the range, it’s like a command unlimited attack buff to a single ship.
