This topic is still very much relevant. Destroyers are the only major thing preventing SC PvP to conform with the highest galactic standards of entertainment.
Otherwise it’s pretty much conforming to “poo”. Destroyers are “a cute baby that everyone tries to love, but it needs killing”.
I think they should at least test without it and see what kind of “feedback” they get.

They can’t. They basically kicked out the “non destroyers paying playerbase”. If they do such a thing game is doomed.

Back on topic, Age of Destroyers may be nearing the end, so there may not be as much need for them to keep them being very powerful, as they will focus on something new.
