I’m in, if you do it not that soon maybe even with a T4 one.

I never expected them so early but even better lol
With the coming R11 destroyers, Spec Ops will be possible to encounter the defiler. So organizing OS defiler hunt or waiting for R11 defiler hunt?

Let’s wait to see how the r11 would do.
Let’s hope they add black holes finally.

-.-
When they are ready!

What was the usefulness of them?
Slowing down fast targets and immobilising slow ones. Also death.
Soo a doom ball of doom?

And death. Don’t forget death.

I like it a lot.
Any ideas when the new destros will come out? It said 5 tasks from broker, im currently past that number lol. Either someone cant count or i dont get the joke.
As long as they are still handing out monos that I don’t have to go in to invasion for, I’m alright with a few more missions.

Afair end of february/start of march.

Fair enough!

Any chances of knowing the designs?

Take a look at the silhouettes in the shiptree. Or at the loginscreen(I saw there big destroyer, one submarine, one jericho and another meh one).

I noticed the difference in the silhouettes but i would like to see the designs from the shiptree preview option, i guess it aint happening anytime soon.
Destroyers are greatly superior to their smaller counterparts in that they are naturally robust and can afford a more offensive configuration, and can often forego things like crit stacking the main gun due to powerful active systems supplementing damage output where that extra oomph is needed. It just won’t become fully apparent to the denser people in the community until fully mature destroyers are producable.
If you take them to shoot at defilers, emphasize range and electronic guidance. Meson blasters can engage a defiler in open space from outside its engagement range which is preferrable because defilers shoot splash damage.
Thus far I am favoring the procyon due to its advantage in mobility allowing for a wider range of flexibility. This preference may only grow if future generation fed destroyers inherit this mobility as I will have more passive slots to augment it. Future weapon and active selections may change my preference but due to things like singularities bypassing deployable shields, I believe the best defense will continue to be maximizing mobility.
unless the deployable shields become resistant to passthrough and splash, I see fighters and frigates relying on bubbles and mortars as destroyers become more common.

Nicely said hyperion, there is a lot of people that dont know how to use a destro properly but hey, more kills then lol, im literally dying here to know when the new ones are about to come, there was soo much i could do with the r8, cant imagine how r11 will feel like.
