Tooltip: Fires a large missile that slowly tracks its target. 1,000m away from impact, it will explode in to 25 smaller shells that each deal damage. The radius of the shells’ expansion is equal to that of a destroyer’s shield radius. The small shells track the target at a rate of 15deg/s for a maximum of 2,000m. The charge will only split after traveling 3,000m. If it does not split, the charge will deal 8,000 Kinetic damage.
This is meant as an anti-destroyer missile for fighters. Once it splits in to the small shells, the damage is spread out over a large radius, so it will be balanced against it’s selected target. Interceptors will be hit with very few of the shells, while destroyers will take the whole hit. I’d say that the small shells have a small blast radius of 50m or so, just so they have a chance to take out modules.
