"Decanus" Vs. "Ellydium": Turf War

After the success of “Decanus’” ammunition printing technology they tried to make a multipurpose variant that could be mounted on any ship type, however they hit a roadblock due to the UMC guards that had been bribed by the “Ellydium” corporation. after several squabbles between “Decanus” and “Ellydium” the two organizations have begun reaching out to mercenaries for assistance in their turf war, that is where you come in, mercenary.

the “Turf War” would be a three week event, players would pick one of two quests from either Arlette Sokal or Marcus Brown (marcus is a tall man in a black and dark green trench coat with neon green lining, he is Chinese in ethnicity), the two quests are:

 

-Turf War: Decanus

kill players who have pledged allegiance to Ellydium in PVP or open space modes (Players are marked with an Ellydium signature next to their name)

accepting this mission gives the player access to three other missions from Marcus Brown, but locks missions from Arlette Sokal

 

-Turf War: Ellydium

kill players who have pledged allegiance to Decanus in PVP or open space modes (Players are marked with a Decanus signature next to their name, Decanus’ symbol is a circle made up of triangles,)

accepting this mission gives the player access to three other missions from Arlette Sokal, but locks missions from Marcus Brown

 

once the player has selected their side in the turf war, they will be able to accept quests from their side’s representative (Markus Brown for Decanus, Arlette Sokal for Ellydium)

the quests for Ellydium are:

 

-Ellydium: political assassination

the player must find the ship of a Decanus official in Jericho open space, and kill him, I will leave the details to the developers

rewards: 50 xenochips, 50 victory points

 

-Ellydium: cover-up

the player must destroy a thar’ga, tai’kin, or waz’got in open space

rewards: 50 xenochips, 50 victory points

 

the players working for Ellydium will have to do these as daily open space quests, recieving a random one of the two each time

the quests for Decanus are:

 

-Decanus: digging up dirt

the player must kill an ellydium officer in leviathan, the officer flies in a thar’ga and acts passive until attacked, once the officer is killed, it drops a file that the player must scan

rewards: 50 xenochips, 50 victory points

 

-Decanus: defend convoy

the player must guard a Decanus cargo ship in Jericho open space against an attack made up of ellydium soldiers flying alien ships

rewards: 50 xenochips, 50 victory points

 

the players working for Decanus will have to do these as daily open space quests, recieving a random one of the two each time

xenochips can be spent during the event on equipment crates, xenochips are acquired from quests for your side, additionally you receive on xenochip for every player you kill of the enemy faction

for Ellydium these crates are:

 

-Ellydium crate A:

costs: 100 xenochips

contains: crystalline repair kit 8-12, crystalline repair kit 11-15

 

-Ellydium crate B:

costs: 100 xenochips

contains: shield-energy balance system 8-12, shield-energy balance system 11-15

 

-Ellydium crate C:

costs: 100 xenochips

contains: crystal shell 8-12, crystal shell 11-15

 

for Decanus these crates are:

 

-Decanus crate A:

costs: 100 xenochips

contains: deployable shield generator 8-12, deployable shield generator 8-12

 

-Decanus crate B:

costs: 100 xenochips

contains: point defense drone 8-12, point defense drone 11-15

 

-Decanus crate C:

costs: 100 xenochips

contains: heating hack 8-12, heating hack 11-15

 

every victory point you collect will be given to your selected side, at the end of the event the faction with the most victory points will win, victory points are acquired from quests for your side, additionally you receive one victory point for every player you kill of the enemy faction

 

at the end of the three week span, the results for the two faction’s scores will be revealed, and if Ellydium wins, then all players who supported them will receive “regenerating crystals” in variants 8-12 and 11-15, if Decanus wins, then all players supporting Decanus will receive “miniature ammunition printer” in ranks 8-12 and 11-15

 

items:

 

-crystalline repair kit

multipurpose module, on activation the user is healed for 200% of all damage the do for 2 seconds (100% goes to shields, 100% goes to hull)

 

-shield-energy balance system

capacitor mod, if your shield takes damage, then your shield regeneration doubles for five seconds, can only be activated once every five seconds, when this effect is not on cooldown, your energy regeneration is boosted slightly

 

-crystal shell

hull mod, boosts critical resistance and explosive resistance on the user’s hull and shield

 

-regenerating crystals

hull mod, adds 100 passive hull regeneration

 

-deployable shield generator

engineer module, spawns a device that creates a large bastion shield, bastion shield has 1km radius, and 10k hit points, if the shield is destroyed but the generator is still alive, then the shield respawns after 10 seconds

 

-point defense drone

guard module, spawns an immobile drone that shoots down missiles around itself

 

-heating hack

cpu mod, weapon cools down 80% faster

 

-miniature ammunition printer

hull mod, if you do not have full missiles, then your missiles will be instantly replenished, activates once every 120 seconds, (this is the module Ellydium is so against)

I would rather use my missiles and wait for reloading, which is usually the same, around 120 sec.

Main weaps got good enough cooldown boosts already. Active modules have options for that too.

I would prefer the already existing missile shield on guards. Besides, missile shield cannot be hacked. Your active modules can be blocked but at least wouldn’t be turned against you.

Just no. Especially not multipurpose. Elly ships with this… hell no. They can/could heal themselves with this rate already…more heals than damage… hell no.

-i don’t think you understand, for the ammo printer, it’s meant to do that,

 

-for heating hack, it’s the weapon cooling rate,

 

-the point defense drone would probably have better range or firerate than missile shield

 

-for the shield generator, it’s meant to create an area where your team is safe, it should’ve been an engineer function from the start

 

-it is meant for constant regen, and then a energy regen boost when outside of combat

 

-it is a module that ellydium is making for all ships, your argument is that it would do its job

 

quite frankly, you lack a comprehension of the game, it seems like fox is the only person with any foresight or reason on this entire bloody forum
