Customizable Synergy Rank Bonuses - Enhanced Mechanics

I like what you did with the interface. I found a way to make it even more appealing to all players.

So far we got only 2 choices for rank 4 and rank 8 and no choices for rank 2, while passive bonuses are already integrated and will not be touched.

Enhanced version would consist of only 2 improvements , which would require a slightly expanded interface and some other slight adjustments.

  • addition of Rank 2 customizable synergy bonuses

  • 6 selection slots instead of 3 to choose from (only 1 choice for each level/rank synergy upgrade)

 

Level 2 bonuses:

- 6 square slot choices

 

Level 4 bonuses:

-6 square slot choices

 

Level 8 bonuses:

- 6 square slot choices

 

How would it look like?

Rank 2 bonuses would be placed in the middle and on top Rank 4 bonuses and Rank 8 bonuses.

Such squares would resemble a pyramid system or scheme.

I am happy to see that a customizable ability feature for SP ships finally got implemented, although we currently have 6 abilitiy bonuses to choose from, it can and should be expanded in the future imo :) 

limiting the choise its a good way to avoid bypass all the weakness of our sp ships :wink:

sp ships are allready very good ship don’t make them more stronger

It’s more about having the freedom to pick the ability you like, what suits your playstyle, but also what works due to game balance. It is not about making the ship OP, look at Spark the premium ship - it is a very very strong ship, and it is not a SP ship. Plus, considering the time it takes to grind and afford a SP ship, I think developing this enhanced customizable idea is only fair.

At first i thought SP would get all possible bonuses available (from reading patch notes). Im really comfortable with 3 options, but 6 cant do bad right?

I like the idea of having more options, but balancing them against each other is always difficult.

 

On the other hand, the rank 2 bonuses are always ship class specific, so I really feel like there shouldn’t be much in the way of options for those.

Well, bonuses would have to be implemented in such way that it would not disrupt the balance in any major way.

I already got a list of all possible bonuses. I will ask around a bit, to hear more opinions.
