Craftable Weaponry

I’d love to see some “from parts to pieces” crafting for weapons.

Like making a ship, but using less parts and you can control what features of the weapon to modify. This would make weapons much more diverse and customizable.

Changable features should include:

1)RoF

2)Colour

3)Particles

4)Projectile type (piercing, beam, explosive, standard, etc)

5)Damage type

6)Some method of tweaking damage not too OP

7)Effects (like leaves cloud of shrapnel/radiation or heals allies or slows target or weakens target or causes malfunctions)

As much as i would like to have rainbow bullets I remember reading a Q+A blog post 6 months ago saying the dev’s don’t want to implement this sort of this because it will be too confusing to tell how you are being damaged

How about we don’t give people another thing to complain about the grind being too much…

We could do it with engines though. It’d be cool to have custom trails.

You’re not actually serious, are you?

Why not? I don’t see it being a balance issue, and people love customisation. I would quite like yellow exhaust trails myself.

the things i would do for a rainbow exhaust…

I like it how it is now, because you are able to see what type of ship is flying, even when they are off radar.  Although it would still be cool to be able to change exhaust trail colours!

the weapons and damage type is set to be predictable and the Devs want it to stay with this restriction
